Kurt had an incredibley high tolerance to opiates. Three times the amount of heroin was found in his body that would have killed a normal person, true, but his tolerance was beyond a normal persons.

I dont even see my comment but im assuming it had something to do about the origins of this song. You are right this is a Leadbelly version cover but originally it was done by Bill Monroe. The lyrics arent exactly the same but it is still done by Bill Monroe oh yeah it was called "in the pines". Im a Nirvana fan myself from way back. ok.When Lead Belly first recorded this song,it was in 1944.Bill Monroe did make this son in 1941,before Lead Belly.the song was a traditional folk song and no one knows who wrote it.Bill Monroe changed alot of the song.When Lead Belly made his version,he made it how the traditional folk song was made.ok fine i made a mistake calling you a retard but i was,in part,right,and so are you.so calm down.
