I cannot see the functions you mention ,due to your cameras optics or recording..It makes it difficult to see the display you picked when you press y,n,or any other function.I think with all due respect you need a better camera with a higher resolution like HD..I really want to learn to use the equipment , but the recording makes it difficult..
