He coached my college team for one season at southern illinois. Just wished he would have stayed longer. Real solid and fair guy. Liked him alot.

He was my 9th grade football coach, fresh out of Southwest Missouri State, many, many years ago. To this day I still recognize the critical role Coach Rhoades played in my development as a human being. My sense of competitiveness, team play and fairness can all be traced back to playing on his football, basketball and wrestling teams. One of the real heroes.
