Romania has ~ 1700 troops out there in Afghanistan. Frankly, it would be good if their number was at least 2500, but it's pretty hard, our economy got seriously slammed by the worldwide recession and our idiotic government, hard to get extra funds for our military now.

@Gaara1555 As for how they fund their wars, yes, once they had crushed all opposition in Afghanistan in 1996 they banned opium and killed anyone who grew it. Mandatory execution is pretty persuasive. THEN after 2001 the trade flourished again when they suddenly needed money. Then there are outright thefts and confiscations of anything build by NATO, zakat from mussies worldwide flow as funds for their jihad. So much of their logistics comes over the borders from Pakistan AND Iran
