I always hold the iPhone with the volume buttons pointing down, and the home button to the right.

Like this my picture / video comes without any distortions.

@LookItsaBean The iPhone could be used as a iPod. No 3G connection is needed if its working off of WiFi, but if you want to text that is a different story. The catch to just having an iPhone and no contract with AT&T is that you will have to pay for the phone full price, depending on which GB model you wish to have. For example, for the 16 GB model you may have to spend $699 and for the 32 GB model you may have to spend $799. Price may not be accurate, but close to it. Hope I helped.

@arturoastocondor Video is already recorded in 720p HD at 30 frames per second. Just sync it to your computer and import it. Nothing else to it. If you want to see an example of how the HD looks after importing to a computer and uploaded to youtube from a computer, just look at my page and look for the title "iPhone 4 Test Video." Should be a thumbnail of a beach. If you have any other questions I would be more then happy to help.

@flava82 Your iPhone will automatically record in 720p HD resolution. If you wish to upload directly from your iPhone in 720p, then you MUST be connected to Wi-Fi. If you upload from your iPhone while on 3G, then the highest resolution will be 480... not impressive.

Direct Upload from iPhone:

Want 720p resolution------ Must connect to Wi-Fi.

Want lower resolution (or the "Dont care" quality)---- Use 3G....... or you can select which resolution.
