  • Hello,

I'm having an issue as well. My saffire 56 only (Mix Control 2.4 version - running osx 10.6.8 on an intel core 2 duo) only shows 8 inputs in Pro Tools 10 (in the audio midi setup the saffire is showing only 8 in 10 out). I've got in synced to the profire 2626 (adat 1 and word clock) ... I can hear inputs of the profire 2626 in the mix control area, but only the analog inputs show in pro tools 10/logic 9. I've emailed focusrite nearly 36 hours ago and haven't heard anything back.

  • i am having all kind of problems using Pro Tools 9 & The Saffire Pro 24 dsp it keeps kicking me out of pro tool right when im start to get my groove on. Tell something about the device control panel change and i need to restart pro tool for changes to take place im on a pc windows 7 in then word clock keep going out of syc making me have to restart pro tool damn im Piss i love this box but pro Tool 9 in this box is been problems for me....HHHeeeellllllp

  • @soundofsoul1 It sounds like you might not be using the latest driver. Have you installed Saffire MixControl 2.4? If so, have you tried increasing the buffer size? If you're still experiencing problems after this you should contact Technical support via the Contact us link on the Focusrite Answerbase.

  • Great video keep up the good work.

  • why don't you make a video that shows how to set it up with a P.C.? I could really use one!

  • @hepone its the same way..?

  • Does anybody else have issues with MixControl being extremely laggy and unresponsive? When I try to change a parameter, it hangs for at least 5 seconds before responding to any clicks

  • Hello! We really need help, so if anyone at ALL can help us out, it would be great! Our problem is that we just got the Saffire Pro 40 working on Pro Tools 9. It records great but our only problem is that it is not playing back on neither the monitors or headphones (both are by the way plugged in to their perspective inputs.) CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP?

  • Are u using PT9 HD

  • hello friend I am looking for pro tools 9 and i did not find to see if you could help me find

  • mannn I love this interface.

I flipped the -10db switch on my mic (nt-2)and boosted the signal on the liquid pre. and the emulations really came out. LOving the clarity of that class a2a (neve1073?) setting too.

  • can someone uplouad a video or explain to me how to properly add a ADAT unit like a Presonus digimax fs or the Octapre im having a dificult time setting it up with pro tools and getting used to the mix window i cant find a user guide or anything, thank you

  • so can you use some of the features that HD offers? Im using saffire 56 with mkII dynamic and i would like pt hd. thought about getting native but not sure what to do becaue i want to use tdm plugins. what do u suggest?

  • Are you using PT 9 HD with the Liquid Saffire 56? if so, how?

  • @zlmorrow24 Pro Tools 9 uses the same installer for all versions. The license on the iLok determines which version is booted - regardless of hardware.

  • I am planing to buy one of these interfaces, but the postings on Apple web site stating its incompatibility with Imac makes me confused.

Can anybody write if it is really working with Imac running OSX 10.6.6 with a firewire 800 port.

  • @chobbaaz The Saffire range is fully compatible with iMacs running OS X 10.6.6 with a FireWire 800 port. The Saffires have a FireWire 400 port so a FireWire 400-800 adapter is required. There are issues with some brands of cable/adapter so we recommend the Sonnet adapter.

  • @chobbaaz

yes. it works. just kinda tricky at times when doing high track counts for some reason. still worth getting

  • So glad to have found this video - thought I was going crazy

  • Great video you've saved me hours of messing arround and reading mauals thanks
