  • There should be more people around to tell stories, even if it means talking on Youtube.....

  • :( Was finally laughing from one of these and then boom... tears again. These are so moving.

  • :(

  • @walid562 Its ash not dust. Cremation is a way of... funeral... or something like that after death. Same thing happened to my dog. His ashes were spread around the mountains where I live.

  • Why did he turn his mom into dust...

  • @walid562 Because some people don't like the idea of sitting in a grave, taking up space and rotting for years after they die. It's not like he was being disrespectful by cremating her.

  • dose anyone know what a intro song was?

  • the funny thing about this: Freddiew2 at the right --->

  • i am so grateful for my last only living grandmother but everytime i ask her about the 50 and 40s she shuts me up and starts degrading someone i love her to death just wish she would talk about the old days

  • the guy's voice when he's telling that his mom passed away...it's so touching. you can hear him trying hold back tears...

"I talk to my mom, every now and then, and tall her good night and I miss you" man, you always take these simple actions for granted and i guess only realize it until they're gone

  • Awwe!! she was so cool (:

  • She lived a good life. A fun one, too, it seems. :)

  • How touching! :) beautiful, funny, but sad. Wow, what an amazing woman! :)

  • 1:28 Grandpa has the best face ever :D

  • I think theres are beautifully crafted. A work of art. I keep watch thwm over and over.

  • i just keep watching these over and over again

  • These stories are great, but why does StoryCorps feel the need to make them so emotionally manipulative? I realize that a lot of the stories on here are sad stories, but this didn't need to be one. She was a strong old lady with no regrets- it should have ended on that note, not with her grieving grandchildren. It would have been a stronger video that way.

  • @jizzbitch69 StoryCorps is not about telling stronger stories. It's about telling true stories that are hidden yet too precious for it to be untold. It ended exactly the way it should have ended, with a recap of memories and strong emotions. Not all StoryCorps stories are like this way, as the matter of fact.

  • @ryusm92 It would still be a true story if they didn't tack on the end part where she's dead. It's possible to tell a true story that's strong in concept without adding a bunch of unnecessary details. Like in any piece of art, knowing which parts to cut out is just as important as knowing which parts to leave in.

Also, I agree that not all StoryCorps stories are like this (the audio ones on their website are great), but about 80% of the animated ones are.

  • @jizzbitch69 Stop complaining and enjoy the bloody stories.

  • This makes me cry every time.

  • Funny until the last part

  • Teehee

  • shit i just cried at the last part

  • these are always so bittersweet!

  • omg this this makes me more sobby than anything online right nw

  • @ImSoVintage

You're not very considerate, are you?

  • I must say that i am so happy I came across this site, don't really know how i got here, but...... i'm happy i did. It's amazing how these stories will live on through us and inspire us to charish one another until the every end.

  • @ImSoVintage What's so funny about that?

  • so cute. this made me cry.

  • These videos bring out the best in people, i would love to donate as soon as i get a job!

  • these are really good :) wish there were more >.< i rrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaally love em ;P

  • What a cute old lady.

  • These interviews are like a kiss of death!

  • @chicaplac I was just thinking that

  • I'M JUST CUTTING A LOT OF ONIONS OKAY!!

  • I couldn't figure out why people were so interested in this until like the last 15 seconds. Really touching.

  • haha loved it. kinda reminds me of my mom.

  • ı̸̸̸̸̸̸̸̸̸̸̸̸̸̸̸̸̸̸̨̨̨̨̨̨̨̨ am crying!

  • I'm going to hug my mom right now.

  • Thank you Cheng and Chen - Reminded me of my grandparents - God Rest Them.

What I found funny was your Mother/Grandmother was so adamant about telling stories about herself. But it was fun to hear about her.

    Thank You.

  • These are amazing! Perhaps a global initiative later would be wonderful!

  • "You know who I am?"

    "Yes I do, you're a thief!"

I'm still laughing. I wonder how the lady she caught responded to that one?

  • Is this not EVERY grandma....I love my grandma

  • Thats an awsome gramma.

  • @ryanmshepard92 WATCH THIS MOTHERFUCKING VIDEO AND SUBSCRIBE TO THEIR FUCKING CHANNEL YOU PISS-STAINED CUNT!

  • i recently had an argument with my mother. im not really good at controlling my temper so i said some not so nice things to her. i just wanted to thank you for sharing your story because shortly afterwards i apologised to her and told her i loved her. i study away from home and the first thing im going to do when im back is hug her because you never know when its your last.

  • @PPbEnn Something similar happen to me too. You're definetly right.

  • Every day I think about my grandfather and what a great man he was. I try to hold it in and keep strong, but it kills me the more i think about it.

  • Just the way you can hear someone start to cry in their voice makes me feel so strange and sad I can't explain it :/

  • THANK YOU! THESE ARE SO WONDERFUL! pleas keep up the hard work

  • Damn... this was a happy video until they said she passed away...

  • this channel is beautiful

  • the ending made me cry

  • I'm in love with that lady. She's a riot.

  • I'm 15, and I usually never cry over anything. Didn't cry during Marley and Me, didn't cry during The Notebook, just, basically, any type of sappy movie you can think of, I wouldn't cry. This made me bawl, for hours. Maybe it's because of the fact that I only have one grandparent left, and that we rarely see her, and that this reminds of her, and the fact that she won't be here for much longer. I don't know, all I can say is please keep up this fantastic work.

  • I hate trolls

  • Thank you for sharing the story of your sweet grandmother!

  • I luvvv storycorps their funny but sad to think their gone:( awe how sad at least we will remember them especially when they r hilarious roflz:) God bless everyone

  • These make me tear every time..

  • So beautiful.

  • this brought me to tears.

  • I love these cartoons they are about all kinds of people. I'm more touched about the fact that they have a place for old people in their cartoons. Something must people try to avaoid in this society. Great work!

  • I lol'ed when I saw the grandpa animation.

  • damn you storycorp..for making grown men cry!!

  • man these stories tear me up so fast

  • God, the endings on these videos get me EVERYTIME!

  • I hate how someone usually dies after making these interviews. I know it is a part of life, but after hearing their stories I love them, then I find out they died and it breaks my heart and I miss them Lol. I also cry because it's sad, but also for the loss of the family and the loss of an amazing person in the world. :/

  • "hurry up, what else, what else? I want to go home!"

  • like this if you miss the background information while you read the description and have to go back to the beginning.

  • she totally reminds me of my grandma, who's also an asian immigrant. very straight-forward and doesn't sugar-coat anything

  • Don't make fun of 9/11, it's just Plane wrong. LOL.

  • @JewishGun really? you have posted this on several videos from these guys. If you are going to be an incredibly shit person at least post it on a 9/11 video you fuckwit.

  • @JewishGun What the fuck is wrong with you? That isn't funny, it just makes you look like a complete jackass.

  • Why those everyone die so early after an interview with storycorps?

  • that make me cry she had a good life and a loving family

  • How many times do I have to watch this before I stop tearing up at the end...?

  • CHALLENGE: TRY NOT TO CRY.

    ...

    Damn.
