It's a bit hard to explain, but Emo is like music that talks about death and depression and "woe is me" kind of things. It can also be a type of fashion statement with a lot of black and red. I guess it's sort of like "moody". I'm sorry, I don't explain things well.

@Cranberry76 but just so you understand it correctly not every sad song is emo. not every person wearing black and red is emo. it's like not every black person is born in africa, to use a simple comparision.

Emo is a kind of style, music, fashion that has typcal features, but the difficult thing is "emo" combines very much, it can be rock, pop, rap, metal music, but it doesnt work the other way round. emo music can be rock, but rock isn't emo ;)
