Thanks freitasex, I am a novice when it comes to cooking but have made stuffed peppers a couple of times. I use a beef stroganoff type mixture and no tomatoes for a little change of pace. It works well, especially since I have kids that don't like tomato. Thanks again.
I really like ur idea to cook the meat. I grew up not cooking the meat but blending everything together. That takes so much time off. I am truly going to try your way.
i have never seen stuffed peppers made this way. they look so good, im going to try to make them the way you just showed me. thank you very much for this video!

Hi, ehhh..is that possible, that you got these recipe from papercuts777? in one video you told us about him...lately i watched his videos..maaan, he is crazy! But a great cook!
I can't wait to try this...however, I plan to cheat. I will use 1 to 2 packs of Uncle Bens 90 second spanish rice. I think I might use a leaner meat such as ground turkey or ground chicken. If I decide to incoporate some of the other things in the list, I will use brown or long-grain wild rice (still Uncle Bens 90 second stuff), fat free cheese, sea salt, light olive oil, lowsodium seasoning, and I might buy two packs of stop light peppers...for color and variety. Gettin' hungry already. -=80)
ha-ha! This is one of my earliest childhood memories: someone fed me green stuffed bell-peppers when I was like 4 or 5 and it was the best thing I'd ever tasted! (my parents fed me plain yogurt with granola and like avocado sandwiches & vegetarian stuff so) ha-ha! cool, I'll try this vege-style & report back later
May I suggest that if you make a vegetarian style.. to use a red or yellow bell pepper, but you can fix it the way you want to.
Orzo would be good in a red pepper with some parmesan provided you have cheese in your diet and gosh what else... the possibilities are almost endless.
I've never had stuffed green peppers before so I had to try this recipe and OMG I loved them. The only thing I did different was to put some garlic in with it. Thank you!
Great recipe. I use my moms [passed on...fed 8 kids} I never had cheese in it though. I like to chop up some garlicky kielbasa to mix with the ground beef. I also like to keep the tops intact so the peppers have a little hat {it might rain} My mom always used undiluted Campbell's soup...the whole meal was yummy for all ten of us.
Thanks for keeping this multicultural recipe alive...a million versions...all delicious and cheap...depending...
I don't think I've ever thought of a green pepper as being really yummy but after seeing this I'm going to have to try it because damn does it look good! I might have to add some garlic in it but other than that, I'm ready to eat them right now! *wipes saliva from chin*

*The finished cooked peppers looked DELICIOUS!
*HOWEVER - I found the musical background VERY
annoying and distracting!
*If a musical background is an ABSOLUTE NECESSITY -
--how about just some good, old fashioned, easy listening music?
*Have had interesting discussions as to whether to cook stuffed peppers in:
1) in the oven (I do), or
2) on stove top in covered pan with small amount of water -
--guess that is sort of steaming.
* "Food for thought" - so to speak. ;-)

Hi,
that's what i call good comforting food!
since it's hard to get good english cheddar here in germany (England is so close...duh!)
i substituted it with german Emmentaler cheese, anyway, them babies turned out real fine!
Very familiar here in germany and i think around the world, perfect to make in a dutch oven!

Also, it was tomato sauce in a can both times.
Thanks so much for your questions!

Here in the USA, tomato sauce and tomato puree is almost the same thing, it was not ketchup!

I boil them to soften them, they will never really cook in the oven if the boiling is not done and they will be crisp.
I prefer mine soft and tender.

Fantastic recipe! Maybe next week i'm going to try this!
For how long you were baking the bell peppers in the oven?
And, can I take also yellow or red peppers? Or what's the reason you've choosen the green peppers?
Bralor89 2 years ago
I love your question.
I personally like green ones better for this, just love that green taste.
To me red or yellow ones should be stuffed vegetarian style and serve them with a side dish.
Ok, for the other question, I am not sure.
I did not pay attention, sorry!
I would guess probably 40 minutes.
I know that I would look at them every so often, and baked them till they were brown on top.
Thanks!
