I can hardly believe my ears; Hilde Gueden was the first Gilda I ever heard. I can't remember the exact year but in the mid 50s when I was in high school I purchased my first 2 records ever. One was highlights from Le Nozze di Figaro featuring Ms. Gueden, Cesare Siepi, Fernando Corena, Lisa Della Casa & Suzanne Danco; the other was highlights from Rigoletto with Ms. Gueden, Mario Del Monaco, Cesare Siepi, & Giulietta Simionato. Back then I had no idea of the treasures I had secured.

This is simply unforgettible singing by Jussi and also Hilde! She sings very well! It is almost an undestatement! - She sings like a Godess! And Jussi like a God!

It is very hard to fine a duo singing as beautiful as they do.
