I saw Tristania back in 2005, and they used samples for the keyboards (Einar didn't perform on the show, also bass was handled by Rune Hagen from Trail Of Tears), the choirs and some guitar parts (despite having two guitar players at the time). All lead vocals were performed live, and Vibeke did an amazing job. Osten did a great job too, but Kjetill harsh vocals were weak sometimes, however I still think the show great. As for this video, I agree all vocals sound sampled.

@CreuvonVolve I can understand you knowing that Osten used to do clean vocals for tristania, but are you blind? Do you see Osten on the stage?

The clean vocals are performed by Morten Veland on this video, as well for most of the songs on the two albums he wrote for Tristania. At least you got one thing right; they aren't sampled.

Veland was replaced on clean vocals shortly before he left - maybe because there was some kind of rift, maybe because his voice was already fucked up...

@Veliell Jajajaja, Tristania siempre ha estado involucrada con bandas Death, Black y Doom, es imposible que no haya slam en sus conciertos, mas en esos entonces cuando Tristania tocaba mas para gente de esos generos y, por lo general, hombres. Ademas, en esos tiempos el ambiente del metal era mas pesado que el de hoy, y ni decir que hasta hace poco a Tristania se le empezo a confundir con ser una banda de sinfonico o goth nomas porque Vibeke es mujer en el metal y cantaba operatico :SS, que mal.

Pues en una entrevista (un video en inglés que llegaron a publicar en su página oficial) dijo que estaban cansados de trabajar con ella porque no quería hacer giras y que no podian obligar a alguien a hacer música, que podían intentarlo por un tiempo, pero que no funcionaba.

Y esa es una versión supongo, pero pues por ética, uno se calla los malos comentarios de los colegas publicamente ¿no?
