Great song written by Clapton and George Harrison. It was untitled until Eric misread one of George's scribbles on the sheet music. He had written "bridge", indicating the bridge section, but Clapton thought he had written "badge".

Every version compared to the original sounds absolutely inferior in my opinion. This said, Gadd is a monster and the ending coda with the keyboard solo (bar the "Love is my badge" vocals, which I don't like) is excellent

The original was better, he does something funny at the end of the first few lines ie. "dark" and "park", I don't know why he changed the intonation ,but as in most cases the original was better.

Ginger Baker, Jack Bruce and Eric Clapton, that's all we need. Personally don't like bass line, the guy seems to stand there and say: look how I can play! That's not rock'n'roll. That's not the proper grip of Eric Clapton's sound, that's not killer at all.

This is one of the reasons why I never attend live shows. Silence of any kind is never tolerated by the audience; they have to fill it with cheers and whoops. Imagine how great that guitar would sound coming out of complete silence. But no... It never happens, except on the studio version.
