When they find out their husband,wife, brother, sister, mother, or father just laid down his or her life in battle. I personally know how that feels. Two of my Uncles died in Iraq exactly a week ago but what makes it even more painful is that I was the only one who survived the IED I swear that was the first time I ever just broke down and cried. My brother is in Afghanistan serving right now he has been there for a year i miss him so much he went on a mission about a month ago and was searching a house and it blew up he has been in the hospital ever since.....thank you to our troops serving, troops already served and the ones killed serving
Thankful that my uncle Tony returned home safe from 6 years in Iraq last weekend but still pained over my best friend Steve's death in Afghanistan last August. It's a bittersweet life having a military family. God bless our troops and God bless America.

It's sad to think soldiers returning from Vietnam would be treated with so much disrespect...I remember hearing stories of my uncle who served in Vietnam and how my aunt would wake up to him screaming and yelling orders or screaming bloody murder from nightmares and his horrific flashbacks during the day...he went to a beach in Mexico and there was a guard the with a semi auto magic machine gun and he was freaking and sweating and almost crying every time he saw the rifle...it was hell over the

@jessicamichael143 terribly sorry 4 ur loss i lost my closest friend in 2010 we were friends for 10 years and he joined and was hit in an IED but survived and was killed by insurgent's gunfire. were all devastated for loss but we can always remember they were the ones who stood up for our freedom and everything. My husband served during the Vietnam era in the Air Force and was ashamed to wear his uniform when he got home because he was spit, cussed at, and worse. I am so glad that people have been trying to make up for the way our heroes were treated then and so many more are trying to be better now. Thanks for your tribute to our loved ones.

I just went to the Traveling Tribute which shows a replica of the Vietnam Wall. When I saw the Wall i was shocked by the number of fallen heroes written on the Wall. I also saw boards that had dog tags of the deceased soldiers that were fighting in the Global War on Terror. I see and hear people (pacifists) all the time talk trash about our soldiers and i just say to get off their asses and go do what they do...put themselves in the soldiers' shoes and look through their eyes... Good video!!!!

lost my best friend, my cousin, to the war. the hardest thing wasnt the fact that i would never see him again, but having to watch his father try to hold back the tears and his mother so distraught that she couldnt hardly catch her breath. i miss him every day, and know hes sittin up there waitin for me on the beach with a cold one.

I watch these videos and have mixed feelings. I tried everything I could to join the Corps. I was not given a chance to even try because of a physical issue I worked as hard as I could to prove that I could still do everything..after being turned away for the final time I vowed to so something that mattered. I now build weapons for our military...I still feel its not enough I still feel like I need to be there. So kick an extra share of taliban coward ass for me, and come home safe.

This is an awesome tribute!!! We just had my stepfathers funeral yesterday and he was burried at Jefferson Barracks Cemetary in Missouri. The environment there is sad but yet beautiful. All those stones are special to everyone even if we didn't know them. My son is a JRROTC member in his high school and he wore his blues there and did a walk out from under the pavillion and did a final salute to his grandpa. For the ones who was trying to be tough for others and not crying started crying.

Thankful that my uncle Tony returned home safe from 6 years in Iraq last weekend but still pained over my best friend Steve's death in Afghanistan last August. It's a bittersweet life having a military family. God bless our troops and God bless America.

maybe it's not quite the same, but my grandpa was a veteran of korea who passed away almost 2 months ago today. i'm 16, but my little sister is 7. not long enough. miss and love you so much poker! keep expecting to see you sitting there in the driveway with that berry cigar in your hand, kenny chesney in the background, with that bon homme richard hat on every time we pull up at your house! 9/8/32-10/18/11<3

It's sad to think soldiers returning from Vietnam would be treated with so much disrespect...I remember hearing stories of my uncle who served in Vietnam and how my aunt would wake up to him screaming and yelling orders or screaming bloody murder from nightmares and his horrific flashbacks during the day...he went to a beach in Mexico and there was a guard the with a semi auto magic machine gun and he was freaking and sweating and almost crying every time he saw the rifle...it was hell over the

my brother was killed in afghanistan by an ied roadside bomb...the shrapnel penetrated his heart and it killed him but it wasnt a quick death it was slow and painful he bled out on the makeshift operating tabel....thank you to all of our troops who stand up for our rights and lay their lives down on the line for us....im eternally grateful:) stay strong rackasaa hoorah!!

@jessicamichael143 Jessica I am so sorry that happened to your brother. It's painful to merely imagine what that must have been like for your family. Those few serving our country are the best we have, and we cannot afford to lose them; yet we do, every day. I don't know how families can go on and every have happiness again after a tragedy like that; yet they do, every day. I hope you and your family will be able to be able to do that too some day. @jessicamichael143 terribly sorry 4 ur loss i lost my closest friend in 2010 we were friends for 10 years and he joined and was hit in an IED but survived and was killed by insurgent's gunfire. were all devastated for loss but we can always remember they were the ones who stood up for our freedom and everything. THEY ARE ALL HEROES.

My husband served during the Vietnam era in the Air Force and was ashamed to wear his uniform when he got home because he was spit, cussed at, and worse. I am so glad that people have been trying to make up for the way our heroes were treated then and so many more are trying to be better now. Thanks for your tribute to our loved ones.

I just went to the Traveling Tribute which shows a replica of the Vietnam Wall. When I saw the Wall i was shocked by the number of fallen heroes written on the Wall. I also saw boards that had dog tags of the deceased soldiers that were fighting in the Global War on Terror. I see and hear people (pacifists) all the time talk trash about our soldiers and i just say to get off their asses and go do what they do...put themselves in the soldiers' shoes and look through their eyes... Good video!!!!

lost my best friend, my cousin, to the war. the hardest thing wasnt the fact that i would never see him again, but having to watch his father try to hold back the tears and his mother so distraught that she couldnt hardly catch her breath. i miss him every day, and know hes sittin up there waitin for me on the beach with a cold one.

I watch these videos and have mixed feelings. I tried everything I could to join the Corps. I was not given a chance to even try because of a physical issue I worked as hard as I could to prove that I could still do everything..after being turned away for the final time I vowed to so something that mattered. I now build weapons for our military...I still feel its not enough I still feel like I need to be there. So kick an extra share of taliban coward ass for me, and come home safe.

This is an awesome tribute!!! We just had my stepfathers funeral yesterday and he was burried at Jefferson Barracks Cemetary in Missouri. The environment there is sad but yet beautiful. All those stones are special to everyone even if we didn't know them. My son is a JRROTC member in his high school and he wore his blues there and did a walk out from under the pavillion and did a final salute to his grandpa. For the ones who was trying to be tough for others and not crying started crying.

i am prior U.S. AIRFORCE 91st cop who was deployed twice to iraq, i also want to send my gratitude to those who support the troops, i also can't thank you enough, without the people in this great country of ours this would have been a battle and i was happy to come home to see the one's i loved and that was not just my family ti was the civilians that supported us. so thank you from the bottom of my heart as well, to all the branches of the military we are not alone thanks to people like you
