  • This guy is the author of the single bullet theory. Every member of the Warren Commission was an accessory after the fact, to the murder of JFK. Arlen Specter ( a Jew ) in particular, wanted Israel to have the nuclear bomb, which JFK strongly opposed.

  • Remember this when the Repubicans claim that they were shut out of the process - they never intended to BE a part of the process - they only intended from the start of Obama's administration to impede the process any way they could.

  • Politics as usual. I imagine they both pull crap like this. It is all about job security for these guys, not actually serving the county.

  • Bipartisanship means twice as bad! Oppose Obama!

  • you, SIR, are a fine example of a REAL PATRIOT! AMERICA needs to WAKE UP and shut down these PROGRESSIVE RADICALS that are trying to destroy the CONSTITUTION and FREE SPEECH and the FOUNDING FATHERS REPUBLIC!!!

OBAMA is a COMMUNIST and OBAMA is from MUSLIM!!!!

  • "From Muslim," huh?

  • @JimmyGobright Arlen Specter voted for the hate crimes bills, which chip away at free speech. He is all for the Democrats' social agenda.

A Muslim is better than a [ Zionist ] Jew, and would save America TRILLIONS in an unnecessary war with Iran, which is a war for Israel.

Obama is a puppet of Israel as well, as his chief of staff, Rahm ISRAEL Emanuel, orders him around like a puppy dog.

  • I want your hairy balls in my cuntry.

  • @imsocuteable Arlen Specter's ?!?

  • I have plenty of principles. For example, when I knock a girl up, I always insist on paying for the abortion.

  • hahaha. And TRUE patriots try to illegally wiretap congressional representatives. That O'Keefe kid is your hero, no?

I wonder how many other reps have been tapped? How much national security info he knows? He should be detained until the FBI and CIA conduct a very, very thorough review of him and his attempts to spy on the United States.

  • Oh no? I wonder how many tea bagging geniuses gave money in response to the fake census sent around? Do you HAVE ANY CLUE?! YOU NEED TO CALM DOWN!

  • are you on the interweb every waking moment or something? Hopefully some of that time is spent cross referencing some of the information you take in. My guess is you don't, though... which is unfortunate.

  • No worries. I'm dealing with it just fine by making you look like a complete dumbass.

These next few years are going to be fun. I don't think "conservatives" have any idea what they have gotten themselves in to. :)

Don't worry, though. When you realize that you're just being used as a pawn in this whole thing, I'll forgive you. Everyone makes mistakes - the true measure of a man is their ability to forgive.

    God bless.

  • hahahaha. Such a baby!! For real. Having a little temper tantrum because you don't like the way things are right now. Ohh booo hooo. Hurry, someone call whine-one-one and have them send the wambulance!

  • I never said they *should*. Don't put your words in my mouth.

But, yes, they certainly can do anything they want. It's in the Constitution.

Thing is, they are voted in by a popular majority. If you don't like what they are doing, vote against them. If you think a law they pass is unconstitutional, take it up with the courts. What's so difficult about that?

  • Congress has the power to do whatever the hell they want as long as they have the votes. That's how it works... It's up to the SCOTUS to decide if it's constitutional.

Sheesh. Read up on "Separation of Powers".

I mean, it's not like the SCOTUS just made a landmark ruling defending the Constitution or anything. If one had their head up their ass, they might think that our freedom of speech was being destroyed and that the Obama administration was turning America into a socialist regime.

  • Just so you know - the more tea bag buzz words you use, the less I take you seriously.

I'd love to hear 10 instances of "tyranny" from the past year. Enough to warrant "millions rising up" and "showing the bastards in washington who is in charge."

I'd also love to know why a militia is needed when you have the power of vote.

  • hahaha. But obviously not the freedom to put a post on the internet advertising your desire to form a militia.

    Dipshit.

  • Specter the Defecter supported Philadelphia Cop killers (Mumia) in the 80's. Not everyone forgets Mr. Specter. You belong to the radical leftist Dem party now, scumball.

  • good bye arlen jew basterd

  • Wow. We agree. I'm tired of MY freedoms being taken away by fascists too. Except I don't need a pack of dogs behind me to get my point across. I'll just tell you to round up a few of your "patriot" buddies and go enlist and get the hell out of my country. Don't let the door hit you in your fat lazy ass on the way out because I'm tired of cleaning up your shit.

  • wacko

  • That is because you are a brainwashed shill for the largest terrorist orgainization a nation was too naive to terminate PERMANENTLY....the republican party. You should go off and fight one of the illegal wars you no doubt think is "holy".

  • "Effective government in democracy..." LOL

    Madness

  • Specter took moey from Republicans to pay for his reelection campaign. Shortly after being reelected he joins the democrat party. He owes an apology to the people who funded him, and the people who voted for him.

  • Bi Partisanship is the two parties getting together to screw you!

  • I am tired of paying these idiots to lie to us. This guy is a trader to his party and to the people that voted for him. I would not believe one word he has to say. He has been paid off ,he has taken bribes. It is time the American people fire all these lifers and career politicians who have never had a real job and who are bought and paid for by big business and special interest. Guys like Spector are what has got us into this mess. Out of the 535 there is only a dozen worth keeping in office

  • GO BACK to supporting Cop Killers Mr. Specter. GOD BLESS OFFICER DANIEL FAULKNER.......MURDERED BY MUMIA ABU JAMAL (another violent racist left winger)

  • Specter supported Cop Killers in the 80's (Mumia Abu Jamal). He's at home with his fellow lefties now.

  • @hughster41 Who-whoo! Here comes the clue train, last stop: you. Of course he was a damn RINO, and switching saved his skin, but now that he's out of your party he's voting as liberal as ever. The fact of the matter is that the Democratic party is the big tent party now. Most people are getting tired of Conservatives' radical, violent, psychotic thinking which actually goes against values of tradition, religion, and family. Go watch your true messiah: Glenn Beck and the almighty dollar. Bum.

  • Conservatives are violent and radical? Didnt your Messiah Obama sit in the most radical racist church in the midwest for 20 years? Yet that didnt stop you from voting for him. I love when liberal simpletons contradict themselves when they dont even realize it. No wonder Obama has the WORST RATINGS EVER for a first year President. Way to go. LOL

  • No. No he didn't. And I didn't vote for Obama, twit. I also enjoy how you seem to consider me a simpleton and yourself an intellectual, but ended your comment with a LOL. What a mark of class and intelligence.

You clearly don't watch the news. Obama's ratings are actually pretty steady for a first-term President.

Here's an old quote from the bible for you:

Do not impart words onto ye who does not understand the weight of knowledge.

It means dont spend your time arguing with an idiot.

  • Gee what a shocker......a left winger with no facts, you dont see that everyday, lol. About Obama's ratings, he has an average of a 47% approval rating in the 3 mainline polls with a plus/minus index of negative 19. These are the WORST RATINGS EVER for a first year President. These polls have been conducted since the 1930's. So much for your "Steady for a first year President" theory. You're free to look these numbers up for yourself, but we know liberals were never fond of facts.

  • and Bu$hes numbers were at 22% witch i think was inflated,?

  • it doesn't matter what his approval rating is, he's bought and paid for by the council of foreign relations, so was bush, both parties were hijacked a long time ago, along with most of the government

  • Now can you say OWNED? lol

  • That was the one thing that never sat well with me. How could anyone want a person for our President who for 20 years belonged to a Church that promoted hatred for America and Hatred for other races. And brought their children there. It just leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

  • What Arlen Specter did to switch parties took guts. It's no wonder he became a Democrat- He saw what Republicans were doing for years and his conscience told him it was wrong. God bless him.

  • Specter the defecter is a scumball............this is the same guy who supported a Philadelphia cop killer in the 80's (Mumia). He fits in perfectly with the commie Dem tax cheats.

  • The RepubliCON party is the Party of NO, the Party of OIL, and the Party of ME! These Loathing RepubliCON Scumbags won't go anywhere in 2010, 2012, There the Party of Bush, the Party who Legalized Outsourcing of American Middle-Class Jobs to COMMUNIST Country days after 9-11, the Party of TERRI SHIVAO's Feeding Tube while Soldiers were getting Killed in IRAQ, Gas Prices Tripled Under Bush Republicans, don't worry The Liberal Attack, Humiliation, and Smear Machine will be in Full Force in 2010!

  • No kidding Arlen, EACH party does that moron

  • I read other opinions at governmentfeedback,org

  • No different than the dumb ass dems did for years.

  • Incorrect. The dems didn't filibuster every single bill like the reps are.

  • I see no difference in either dumb ass party.

  • this coming from a elected official who will do anything, run for anyparty so long as he gets elected. yea whatever spect. He seems to forget the Dems bashed Bush EVERYDAY and did whatever it took to be against him as well. Spector will go woth whatever side of the isle will benefit him the most at the time. Looks like the dem offers that now for him.

  • Fox News is fucking shit.

  • Sen. Specter is absolutely right. this all started during the stimulus debate. every economist in the country knows that a 787 billion stimulus package is not enough to stimulate a 13 TRILLION DOLLAR economy. obama really tried to bring bipartisanship to washington by watering down the legislation from a 1.4 trillion bill to a 787 billion package that included 400bilion dollars worth of tax cuts. by only getting i think 3 GOPers to vote for such legislation, it set the tone for future bills

  • Once the Tea Party movement dissolves the Republican Party, the Tea Party movement will implode because of its many different stances and positions. C'mon Rush, Beck and Palin... start the destruction as you've fanned the flames on everything else!!!

  • How sad that the political party of Abe Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt and Dwight Eisenhower has degenerated into the political party of Dick Cheney, Sarah Palin and Limpdick Limbaugh.

  • and the great democartes of ww2 veterans turned into illegals and shits of america. save the republican all thats left of the great america. the democrats = illegals

  • Treasonous

  • Bipartisanship is just a word that they try and use to calm the masses. And when one party does not "go along", they are labeled by the party in power. I dont believe that the republicans didnt want reform, I just dont think they believe in socialism. We need real representatives of the people, not this partisan drama bullshit.

  • Bipartisanship is a myth. There is no such thing. The party out of power does its best to hamstring the party in power. Compromise is not bipartisanship. Compromise involves horse trading, quid pro quo, negotiation and arm-twisting to reach a final product everyone can live with.

Bipartisanship is a feeble grasping for high moral ground where it most likely does not exist. If the stated good intentions of Congress were worth the air wasted to utter them, America would be a Paradise.

  • And stopping the radical Left and Socialist Obama is a bad thing........?

  • Nomosocialists,

The radical left and their socialist-leaning leaders have similar counterparts on the right (radicals and fascist-leaning leaders).

I think the pendulum in this country is always swinging from socialism to fascism, and then back again. We can never stop the influence of either ideology, all we can ask for is transparency.

  • And the Oblahblah Administration and Lefty controlled Congress have done such a wonderful job of being transparent, especially on health care. Just another campaign trail LIE by the pretender in chief!

  • How could you ever sleep at night if you voetd for Specter? This guy is so full of it. Unbeleivable.

  • Specter will be an ex-senator in November. He wont say anything that might jeopardize a consulting job

  • This turd is an idiot from the word go. Of course the Republicans plotted to obstruct just the same way the Demo craps did for the Bush's. But the Demon Craps have control over two thirds of the entire government including the chairmanship of every committee in both houses. Yet the Demon Craps complain that the Republicans are some how obstructing them from getting their way. What's obstructing them is some good old common sense Demon Craps who've figured out it'sa perfect opportunity to profit

  • Wow, Arlen Specter making sense. If find that kind of frightening.

  • It's getting ridiculous.

Our Senator Cornyn of Texas voted against additional funding for NASA in Texas because it was something Barack proposed & therefore other Republicans were voting against it.

I"m a Ron Paul supporter & I would guess Paul voted for it - Paul isn't stupid, Cornyn is.

  • Old people who whistle when they speak.

  • Anyone who has watched the process of this Health Care reform knows that the Republicans were in on all the Mark ups, both in the house and the Senate. At the Mark Up secessions, hundreds of amendments were presented on the Republican side and many were adopted. You can check this out for your self by accessing the video on CSPAN's archives.

  • That's probably the best thing I've heard from Specter in a long time. Of course the Republicans don't want to work with Obama. It has nothing to do with policy, but rather it's all about perception and politics. It's the same reason the Democrats ground Bush'es agenda to a halt in 2006. If the choice is to fix our nation or attack the other political party, you know exactly what both political parties will always choose to do. They'll attack each other, and the hell with us.

  • Stop watching Glenn Beck, it's turning your mind into mush. Where is your evidence that Obama is a radical socialist? What do you mean "remake the WHOLE country"?

  • 2010 = GOP calls the president a socialist racist who hates white people and the constitution.

2006 = Democrats calls the president a fascist racist who hates brown people and the constitution.

Today it's the GOP bleating like sheep and the Democrats are covering for whatever the president says, and the exact same situation was reversed four years ago.

Always keep in mind that the only difference between the political parties is the color of their kool aid.

  • The only difference is that what we said is true. What the Democrats said was the usually charges made against conservatives.

  • So you like red kool aid and Democrats like blue.

I suggest looking at both sides with a critical eye and start realizing that it's the idealoges in both parties that are the problem with our nation.

  • Blue cool aid doesn't have sugar, but can be exported. Red cool aid is expired and toxic, so it should have a warning sign.

  • Please, for the love of God, stop watching Fox and listening to Limbaugh. Obama is not a socialist, he's so middle-of-the road it's laughable. All that socialist, radical, Muslim drek has been created by the GOP and it's water carriers to discredit Obama and get the GOP back into office where they can screw up the country and line their and their friends (defense industries, insurance, etc.)pockets again...

  • the GOP is lazy if they do not want to work maybe they should retire and let someone who wants to work

  • has anything tangibly changed for the worse in the past year? my life is almost exactly the same, except i don't have a sinking feeling every time the president is on tv. good riddance, Bush. talk about destroying a country. where were you between 2001-2008?

  • name one thing they tried to compromise on. that is bipartisanship and that is when our country flourishes working on a bill that is good for both sides yet nothing they try the stop everything that is their plan. if you and i do that at our work we would be fired for not doing our work that is why they are lazy.

  • The Democrats never wanted the Republicans involved from the beginning. They could have taken this issue by issue and pass changes gradually with a majority of support. The fact is that this is a takeover. It has to be quick and massive and far reaching because the people oppose it.

  • they can't medacare is going broke and they need to figure out how to save it

  • gee get ride of illegals

  • hoe does that fix medacare

  • it been broke for fifteen years

  • not the same thing i don't mean broke as in unfix able i mean broke as in no money

  • been broke for fifteen years no money all the money paid out its borrowed money and what little they collect. they used it all up in wars, vietnam you know the war keneddy did.

  • where do you get your information cause that does not sound right.

  • look up when vietnam war started who president and look up social security used, fnd war , you will have to do your work, this is old old old news.

  • Horsecrap! No one is destroying anything, except maybe scaring a few paranoid white men...

  • shit

  • sure are

  • This dried up prick needs to retire. What's new about a political party trying to put themselves into office.. it's politics.. this guy is a weasel... The Democrats could have passed everything without one Republican Vote. They certainly kept them out of the whole conversation and then when the Republicans disagree with them, they're being partisan. Bi Partisanship, in the Democratic dictionary is.. "You agree with us, We don't have to agree with you, so there" Do as we say or your Partisan.

  • What a piece of meat, trying to have people believe a difference exists between a corruptocrat and a repubrobber.

Checkout goooh (dot) com. Goooh is the acronym for Get Out Of Our Houses and their mission is to replace as many of the current career slabs of meat with non-career politicians.

It won't cost you a penny and they don't solicit you for donations like the meat does. That should tell you something. They are merely building a voting block to remove all the meat from office.

  • What would make a non-career politician less corruptible than one who's been around for awhile? They all began their careers as freshmen. The potato people that you want to replace them with will end up being twice as bad.

  • Spector has been surprisingly strong on the public option . He seems to be the real deal ? Now if we can just get rid of the conservative Democrats, we could get real reform like a public option .Conservative Democrats are only Democrats in name but Republican in voting style.

  • I don't trust him.

  • A serious man.

  • Noone believes Spector, he is a nobody who will never get elected again. And the American people will never elect Democrabs as a majority again. They screwed that for themselves.

  • 109th Congress--54 filibusters....

    110th Congress--Record 109 filibusters....

look it up ...if ya don't get the change you can believe in...don't blame the majority. They are trying.

I would think that if it was such bad legislation, the GOP would gladly let it pass so they could regain power. Or I guess the safer bet just in case the legislation is good is to just stop everything and then tell the sheep that the Dems can't get anything done.

  • Well said sabiki74!

    Love this stat:

    "110th Congress--Record 109 filibusters...."

The repugs don't care about anything - except getting back into power. No ideas, no compassion for anyone, no nothing. Bunch of asshats.

  • Specter doesn't Bullshit. I would rather stay with Specter than take a chance on Toomey. We have very few republicans that are upstanding, decent and intelligent, we should do everything thing possible to encourage Republicans to act correct, by supporting Specter we support Common Sense.

  • You support a liberal who has no values or convictions.

  • Actually you LIE, Specter has great Values and conviction, been watching him for years now. Your just pissed off cause he won't go along with the thug mentality from the fundamentalist Religious freaks in America.

  • Nope, because he switch parties when he thought it would get him re-elected. He should have resigned and then ran as a Democrat. This switching parties after you are elected is just plain wrong.

  • He wanted to help fix America, not play destroy Obama games with the Republicans, I totally understand why he switched.

Republicans are just a total waste and they will be till they get power again, lets hope we can pay back some of the BUSH debt before they go on another Conservative spending spree, with America charge account.

  • I take it you are equally upset that Rep. Griffith just switched parties from the Democrats to the GOP, or is this just a chance to attack the other guy while ignoring your own party's issues?

  • Specter says it like it is

  • How is it?

  • Where was the bipartisanship when the Democrats filibustered President Bush's nominee? How about the quote from President OBama, "elections have consequences, and you lost". There was never any reasonable effort on the part of Democrats to include Republicans, NONE!

  • @CommonSenseJoe That's a lie. Every bill that Bush signed had support from Democrats in the Senate. People like Ben Nelson voted for plenty of Bush's initiatives and those people had about as much say as the Republicans have today. The problem with bipartisanship has been the fault of Republicans, the stimulus bill had 300 billion in tax cuts and every House Repub said no, Republicans have tried to cut medicare since the seventies, the dems do that in the health care bill and they all said no.

  • You are comparing apples and oranges. First, I said nominees. Never before had the filibuster been used to hold of a President's appointments like the Democrats did.

The tax cuts were tied to spending that was NOT an economic stimulus. Republicans NEVER support 600 billion dollars in REAL CUTS to Medicare while creating another entitlement. You cannot buy Republican support using bribery. That only works with Democrats.

  • no bid contract to the iraq war that is not bribery i don't know what is

  • No bid contracts happen because there is no other company that can do the required task.

  • for someone who calls himself commonsensejoe you make absolutely no sense at all. the companies that were given no bid contract did not even to the required tasks and are under investigation for fraud.

  • Right, the Democrats investigate everything and everyone that had anything to do with the Bush administration. And guess what? They found nothing. Halliburton, for example, was the ONLY American company that could handle the work load of the Iraq war. Clinton had cut the military budget so much that we HAD to use private contractors to do the job.

  • show me an article that proves your theory and i will believe you

  • @doink1422

No you won't because you will just argue against my sources. Take for example, the firing of the US attorneys. No crime was committed. It was and is the President's right hire and fire the US attorneys for ANY reason he wants. Clinton fired them all in ONE DAY. There was never an investigation. Why? It was his right as President to do so.

Look it up for yourself. What was the Defense budget when Clinton took office and when he left?

  • that is funny i ask for a source and you can't give me one. so that proves you are wrong.

  • What source? I gave you facts. Where you simply not paying any attention the last ten years. You want me to do your research for you. Do it yourself, and try thinking for yourself as well.

  • if you were giving me facts you can prove it but you can't therefore what you are saying is lies. I have been paying attention for the last 10 years which you have not. the 90s were fine that was the Clinton years. 2001 was where it went all downhill and that was bush's watch. till now

  • @doink1422

I guess you where not is you think the Clinton years were "fine". What is it that you want a specific source for? The Democrats did investigate the heck out of the Bush administration. Do you doubt this? Did you not watch C-Span?

  • whatever dude. I can't change your mind. and you can't change mine. i'm not saying both side are not without faults. I just believe the lesser of two evils is the democrats. you think it is the republicans. that is fine but i would never vote for a republican.

  • doink.........how do you know the 90's were "fine" if you've only been paying attention for the "last 10 years"? You contradicted yourself. Did you forget Somalia, USS cole, Oklahoma City, Bosnia, two african embassy bombings, and Clinton stopping a CIA hit on Bin Ladin in the Sudan during the 90's when he was in the CIA's scope (literally) ? I know the "blame Bush" card is the easy way out, but unfortunately for you left wingers, reality does exist.

  • yes all of that happened compare to 9/11, Katrina, and Afghanistan the president betraying a CIA spy in the field and all the soldiers that died in Iraq on false planted intelligence. which is worse

  • LOL.......so now a natural disaster like Katrina is Bush's fault? 200 Empty Greyhound buses and 4 days warning, but its Bush's fault they chose to stay so they could loot? And just for the record, Afghanistan hit RECORD monthly death tolls in 2009, WHEN your hero Obama took office. So using your brilliant liberal logic, I guess we can blame all those california wildfires that destroyed thousands of homes last summer on Obama right? Liberal buffoonery at its best.

  • you moron did you forget Bush waited two week to help his own country from that natural disaster. you clean up and saving lives. And we would never be in Afghanistan if Bush paid attention to Clinton's and his own intelligence reports.

  • You forget Clinton had several chance to capture Bin Laden before the Sept. 11th attack on American soil. But refused for diplomatic reasons. Even his own staff members admitted he had the chance and didn't take it.

  • did you forget Bush brought the Teliban into this country paled around with them and gave them money.

  • bush even called bin laden "brother bin Laden". As in "Brother, would you help me bury 3000 people alive so we can get rich in the aftermath"?

No plane hit the Pentagon. Republicans are terrorists.

  • @quizerry WRONG!!! Clinton authorized missle strikes of a base that missed Bin Laden by about 20 minutes...of course that happened just after the fat Monica Lewinsky scandal....so Republicans accused him of authorizing missle strikes to divert attention away from his sex scandal....the very same Republicans who later accused him of doing nothing against Bin Laden in the aftermath of Sept. 11th(Gingrich etc.).....sorry Republicans, you can't have it both ways

  • please stop talking to me your an idiot.

  • Please learn to spell you buffoon.

  • shut up already you retarded drone.

  • @CommonSenseJoe The Republicans have flipped positions that they've held for decades just to oppose Obama.

  • No, they have not. They have always opposed creating more government because it always causes more problems.

  • Dude your an idiot, the Just say no Campaign in the 80's was the largest expansion of government I saw, right up to the establishment of Homeland security, pure dick foolery.

  • Is that why the government expanded more under Bush than anytime since the 1930's?

  • For security purpose, not to control your life and provide you everything.

  • So you are apart of the I would rather spend a trillion dollars in Iraq than on making sure the citizens of this country have health care crowd?

  • Spending on the war has nothing to be with providing FREE healthcare to people. One has nothing to do with the other. There are means of providing healthcare to those who need it that do not require destroying what works for everyone else.

  • there is one thing that (a) spending on war and (b) providing health-care to people have in common, commonsensejoe...

they both cost the tax payers money.

  • One is the federal government job, the other is NOT!

  • CommonSenseJoe, if you don't see how both parties have dramatically inflated the size and power of government for their own agenda's, then there is no hope for you. Just look at a chart showing the debt for the past three decades, and count up how many years both parties have been in power.

  • keithalanjohnson: why the past three decades? The gov't deficit spending started in the 60's under LBJ - see C Romer work on shift in macroeconomic policy under liberals: "cause and consequence of a mistaken revolution." Much of the increase in national debt in the 80's was the cost of the liberal excesses of the 60's and 70's - the war in vietnam, the war on poverty, inflationary 70's, etc.

  • Tooltalk, three was a number I pulled out of my hat so it would cover multiple Democratic and Republican administrations. IMO, if one thinks the problem is rooted with just one party, then we'll never solve this problem. Both of them are fairly toxic at this point.

  • Specter, are you a fool, or are you trying to make fools out of those listening to you?

You can't use republics as a scapegoat. Democrats own and control Washington. They own and control both houses of congress. Republicans are insignificant, powerless non-players in Washington.

  • I like how they don't put the (D) for Arlen

  • I figured they didn't put a (D) in front of Specter because he might have changed parties again by the time the graphic made it to air, so what's the point?

  • haha

  • He's so right and it doesn't take a politician to figure out exactly what the Republican game plan was from the get-go.

I will never vote Republican again after the events of 2008/9.

I have more respect for Obama than ever before for persevering with the health care reform, despite the disgusting tactics of the teabagging, birthering Republicans.

  • Spector is an old scumbag who sells his vote to the highest bidder. He's the poster boy for term limits.

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • You are so wrong.

  • Speaking of republicans, plotting---

Did anyone else watch the Discovery Channel the evening of 11/22/2009?

    --they revealed another republican plot:

the plan to kill Castro, by Richard Nixon, called "October surprise" 1960...

But, what wound up happening instead, was the mob decided to use Nixon's plan, but to kill JFK instead.

Because Russia promised to nuke the USA, should they attempt to harm Castro, the plot was kept secret, even by Bobby Kennedy. Dick Cheney has known, all along.

  • When he was a Republican I liked Specter.

    Republican = obstructionist

  • If Sarah Palin became vice-president in 2009, I would tend to agree with you.

  • @cagedtigersteve If that's what you believe then you are very uninformed .

  • Only wrong if being absolutely fucking retarded is right.

We should really just stop trying to be nice. Just exterminate every single religion and person with a sub90 IQ. Natural selection just isn't working well when we have welfare.

  • Well put man .

  • whoa cagedtigersteve. there is something really wrong in america - YOU

you who have no problem handing over

the highest office in the land...

the commander-in-chief of the worlds most powerful military...

the leader of the free world...

to a world-class moron that thinks africa's a country, foreign polic's a book tour, the earth's 7000 yrs old and wouldn't know a constitutional article if it slapped her ass

ur worse than sarah palin, i pray that if u reproduce, ur idiot genes are recessive

  • ha

    good joke there, cagey

  • Yes, it was a joke.

Some people here are just too afraid of the absurd idea of Sarah Palin as president. However, from what I've heard from many people is that she is the nominee and the only hope for America. They worship her and would not vote or turn the "news" on at 5 o'clock without her. These are the same people who blame Obama for everything and say he is worse than Hitler. There is a lot of people out there who believe this and that gives her power.

  • The fact that she was even a half term Governor of Alaska proves there's something really wrong with America. The question is what to do about it?

The fact that 99% of Congress is owned by corporate lobbyists, and probably 75% of the electorate votes on the basis of identity politics, superstition, and push-button wedge issues to the exclusion of all else doesn't give me much hope for the republic.

But this is no time to give up.

  • Obama's plan to promote bipartisanship is backfiring and will hurt him in 2012. Can't say I'm upset about it since he isn't a very good President anyway What America needs is a President that isn't Republican or Democratic and a $enate that isn't full of traitorous corporate sellouts.

  • I can't believe we are still talking about bipartisanship!

The republicans have moved so far to right, they've fallen off the cliff. The Democrat are obviously just right of middle as evidenced by this weak concessionary health-care bill they just passed.

What we need to do is vote out all the rest of the Republicans and split the Democratic party into the Progressives, Corporatist, & Conservative Democrats.

  • The Dems have to at least pay lip service to the idea of bipartisanship to highlight the contrast between the ideal of cooperation and the reality of the GOP obstructionist behavior.

  • Senile turncoat.

  • Just like how he lost in 2008. Oh wait... that didn't happen.

  • He won in 2008 because brain dead idiots voted him in. Wow what a surprise.

  • Who was the better alternative at:

    The primaries

    (and)

    The General Election?

I would love to hear your opinion on this.

  • The Republicans are a one party regime that will never acknowledge the legitimacy of any other party. If you study their pattern of behavior, you will find party loyalty and ideology trumps pragmatic governance every time. They sneer at the idea that they must also govern with the needs of non-Republican citizens in mind. Why give the "enemy" any comfort? If you work for a Corporation, NEVER criticize Republicans, your future depends on it.

  • Essentially Specter is expecting a token sanction from the opposition to legitimize what the democrats are doing. But, since the bailouts many more people are paying attention and despite the countries loudest opinion makers making a lot of noise the American people are not comfortable with this much interference in the free market. The banks that failed should have failed and "Haliburtoning" the countries insurance companies is a road we don't want to go down.

  • What I mean by "Haliburtoning" is essentially introducing corporatism into the health care debate the same way corporatism was introduced into national defense by the Bush administration. We've always had a
