Just a question, do Hemi heads generate a unique sound to any engine compared to other heads on the same engine setup? Lets say the 426 wedge, i'd imagine the Hemi having some sort of unique sound to it compared to the wedge, due to the way Hemi heads are designed and how the flow works e.t.c. Cause in allmost all cases one hears a hemi it sounds so awesome.

the proof is in the pudding. On an episode of speed chanels dream car garage, 70 judge ram air iv car beat not only the cuda hemi but the chevy l6s in the qtr. If you do your research on the 69-70 ram iv engine you'll know why ., ie forged crank, and pistons, special antipump lifters, special round port ehhaust for superior flow number, high duration , high lift cam, stiff valve springs, and other internal goodies meant for gobs of torgue in the rpm range critical for fast times in the qtr mile!

This is possibly the most beautiful car I've ever seen. I've always loved American muscle cars. Fair enough they can't turn corners but they sound better than any other. I used to love chargers before I discovered 'Cudas and now I'm converted.

I have a lot of respect for anybody that has the knowledge and skill to maintain and care for a Hemi. No other engine idles like a beastly freight train then makes you jizz a little when it pulls away :D.

@tibby499 I'll do my best to explain. Hemi is short for hemispherical. Meaning the cylinder heads on the 426 HEMI engine are basically domed in shape. That provides for more compression area, allowing more fuel mixture to be ignited at a time thus dramatically increasing the engines horsepower. I hope I was some help to you.
