Distributing Lakai probably ran expenses up too high or it just wasn't convenient. But now, Girl Distribution has probably garnered enough money to distribute Lakai by themselves and make a better profit in the long run when compared to paying Podium Distribution. Product may now be cheaper for consumers.

(who also does DVS) i guess they stayed loyal to podium (which is understandable cause they are friends with alot of the people over there) but they figure they can distribute it how they want now with available resources and whatnot. so ultimately they can control prices, more ad creative control. just more control.

For those who are stumped, Lakai was under Podium Distribution, which houses Matix and DVS. I don't know the business side of things so well, but I guess Spike landed a major deal, making Lakai OFFICIALLY under Girl Dist. So yeah, Spike, Carroll, Rick will have more say than they did at Podium, since they own Girl. The company is gonna make much more money before Lakai became a part of Girl. That's why Marc asked if he was gonna get a raise, pretty much now everybodys gonna get a raise now.
