  • I would definitely buy it on DVD - it's from an age when tragedy and comedy were quite poignantly mixed

  • Carol was on Casualty tonight and all through it I was trying to place her. A quick look on IMDB and all my memories of this classic sitcom came flooding back. Even though I was only 9/10 when it first aired. Why isnt it on dvd? I'd love to see it again. It's been a long time since UK Gold showed it in the mid 90s

  • Number 12 - Science and Nature )):

  • I am joining all those who have a good memory on "Life Without George". I am some years older than you and from more remote place but I liked it when it was broadcasted at my national TV in 88'. Yep was nice.

DippShits I liked CR too. With one correction. It is not that she WAS sexy but she still IS, despite age of 55.

  • Thanks for posting this I've been singing it to myself for years.

I used to love this as a kid. Wish they'd repeat it.

  • thanks for this. I loved this as a teenager and am now 36! wish they would bring this out on DVD!

  • @mthurlby Jeez, now pushing 38 and still waiting a DVD! Who ever has the rights for this, get a move on and release it!!!!!

  • thanks putting it up

    years iv been looking it

would you v got some episodes as well?

  • I remember this like it was yesterday!

Ben was the yuppie estate agent and Larry's friend

Jenny ran a dance studio with the scouse girl and a mad old man used to be around the reception and Simon Cadell's wife Selena ran one of the classes

There was a gay bar owner who had a child

Jenny had a neurotic best friend who was played by Elisabeth Estensen and another actress before her. I remember an episode of her making a souffle and I nearly died laughing - I was 13/14 and I'm now 34!! x

  • also 34, it was a great show. the old guy was in an episode of minder. not seen him in anything else. this was a favourite of mine. would love the dvds.

  • yep same here, Im same age, I remember this being on sunday nights

    was decent telly back then.

  • @loopylou1974

Selena Cadell is Simon Cadell's sister not wife!! And she is married to the actor who played Ben (lucky cow) I had a crush on him.

I have been lucky enough to FINALLY after years of searching get all three seasons on DVD. It's still hilarious and if anything I appreciate it a lot more at 36 than I did when I was 14!!!!!

  • yeah I haven't seen it since it was originally shown...memory is quite sketchy...wasn't there a yuppie guy who drove a sports car and a scouse girl?...

  • i remember the show quite well. there was a yuppy in. i remember 4 of them in a car. simon caddell asked who was singing, yuppy says, curiosity killed the cat, caddell said, i only asked. think it was an old porsche he had. so wish it could be repeated or released on dvd

  • Good to see this again. Has anyone got any of the series they could put on here again? There doesn't seem to have been a dvd release or a repeat of it on tv. Would be good to watch it again to remember what it was like.

  • One of THE underrated comedies of the 1980s. This really needs a DVD release.

  • Carol Royle - Yum-yum!

It was NOT a laugh fest by any means but I watched as a teenager because SHE was about as sexy as you could get!
