@BFMV1000800040 Thanks on this one I'm straight into my Boss BR-800 using the effects in the box - not bad for £350 of kit! For the solo I used my Marshall JMP-1. Cheers.
@BiollanteSpawn Hi, although the BR-800 is a brilliant machine for the price, the thing I've found hardest is to get a good heavy/lead sound, I always seem to go back to my Marshall, but then again, it is proper tubes and worth a hell of a lot more!. Best advice I can give is find one of the presets you like and then start to change the virtual amp and cab settings - these seem to have the most influence on the tone.
@BiollanteSpawn I have a Shure SM57, its the industry standard and it is pretty good, you can also set up COSM effects to work with it in the BR-800. I position it very close to the speaker mesh, just off centre of the cone, so it picks up a bit more low end and doesn't sound as fuzzy. Good luck with it.
@MrRandomBlahhh Hi, I record into a Boss BR-800, its brilliant for what you pay for it! Sometimes I record direct for the cleaner stuff, I've got my Marshall miked up with a Shure EM57 for the heavier.
@GuitarMonkey91 Gorgeous isn't it. Got it in Las Vegas 4 or 5 years ago, when I had money in the bank! It was $2200Us I think. I think you can get them in UK for around £1400 although they're mainly red with EMGs these days. Still good value I think considering they're hand made in Japan, one of those guitars that just 'fits'! Cheers.
@DarkNunzio97 Ha Ha but I love my Seymour Duncans!

I wish I could get my hands on one of those, I'm a professional guitarist and teacher.
I love how shiny the fretboard is on that guitar, I could see the light reflecting off of it!
You played that one really good!
Could you cover "MAGNIFICENT" by U2?
