Even just from this little clip it's obvious that Grandfather is reading a story to Heidi about a Dutch girl. Heidi then sort of enacts the story with her little skit. They don't try to make it seem Holland is anything at all like Switzerland.
I'm just curious what Holland and wooden shoes possibly has to do with Switzerland, which is nowhere near Holland (The Netherlands) geographically and certainly not culturally simiar...
It's Holland. Clues (setting) are -- windmills; tulips; and FLAT terrain (no Swiss Alps). And (costumes) -- "Dutch Blue"; "Dutchboy" pageboy haircuts; girls' turned-up-&-out white wimples; and (of course) wooden CLOGS. Tho too, wooden clogs were worn by peasants of France, Belgium, etc.
Oh gracious.. I'm the user superhetoric and I have no idea why I said Switzerland! I think I thought I was commenting on a Heidi video (such is either based in Germany or Switzerland). Sorry!
Oh . . . the outer story of Heidi (the girl reading the book about the dancing Dutch children in Holland) is indeed in Switzerland. "Heidi" is set in (and all about her love of) the Swiss Alps! And Frankfurt is in Germany (in Hesse, thus "Herr Hesseman").
Colorization of Black and White films is not a completely refined science at this time. The process is very complex and time consuming. Some agree with you, the original Black And White is better, others do not. It's a matter of taste really. The important thing is, these classics have been digitized, and thereby protected forever for all future generations to enjoy.

Why does this video have the tags it does?

I'm Dutch - and I find it hard to understand why an American Heidi film needed a Dutch clog dance scene back in 1937!
And they really had no clue what a Dutch windmill looks like... Hilarious.
