The son of the Manse who fucked up the country. I met him when the cabinet came to Southampton. A bullying bastard he was, nagging at everyone around him. Glad he has disappeared back up his own fat arse, good riddance.
@digireedoo Now we have the son of a heriditary multimillionaire, who didn't win the elction, neither did his party, giving us record unemployment, the second recession dip predicted when they finally revealed how they were going to make us pay for their friends the bankers' mess, unaffordable energy and food prices , VAT hikes, even more fucked up public transport, wrecked NHS and axing the few of our services these tory bastrards left us with prior to 1997. History repeats.
@fredo27 God- you're angry! You do realise that all these wonderful services come not on the back of the rich, but on ppl that work for a living? Seeking 2 waste more money on them (which Labour did the last 13 years) would leave us even poorer
U may think that Tories are evil and the left wing are saints, but it was the last lot that squandered our money and left a situation where services have to be cut.
One day maybe u'll realise that the world isn't as black and white as ur rants proclaim..
From Gordon Brown, the most apalling Prime minister the country ever had. I agree with the US diplomatic cables released by Wikileaks on that one. Whoever the US diplomats where referring to that, they were damn right. I am not saying DC has been very effective either but at least he has done less actual harm. What a sad observation to have to make all round.
@RichardElden Have you mentioned yet how pleased you are a child has died or someone's died an agonising death from cancer Richard "Conservative " Elden?
These Tories have no idea what they are doing if you ask me. We need people to start spending to keep us out of recession but they advise people to pay off their credit cards and they keep cutting jobs which is going to STOP people spending!!! They are constantly back tracking on plans and when they are asked who's going to replace the cuts they make, their reply 'the private sector' well where are they then, it's all pie in the sky!!!
When labour have piled up trillions in debt conservatives have nowhere to go as they cannot borrow to stimulate the economy(was labour has done it for a decade it's know as Fiscal Policy).
Not to mention brown sold 60% of our gold reserves at an all-time low price against all professional advice so we could not get money that way, we now have 4million+ unwanted immigrants in our country which is not helping labour let in happily, we've pumped billions into the E.U,. Oh and most
of all they have been bribed for so long to give complete deregulation of the financial sector(banks) so now they can do whatever the fuck the want, and make all of us pay for their mistakes...
@403766 All they have are excuses, excuses, excuses. Well they were (kind of) elected by the people so it's about time they did something to help the people like they said they would but so far I see no improvement and as for them not knowing how bad things were before they got in, well why not it's their job to know. I except no excuses about 'it was all the last governments fault' what are they school kinds or something they should stop whining and do something useful and productive!
@jsdh1978 I agree, they've been in for 18 months, they need to take the blame now. I don't agree that they were elected though, they were helped through the door by Clegg in return for him getting power, despite having the least votes of all three parties. I didn't see "coalition" on my voting slip, it's very undemocratic.
Their policies are failing miserably, we're heading into a major slump and making we working people pay for the greed and bungling of the fat cats is unfair in the extreme.
Really, they need to take the blame for having no money inject into the economy as labour has been doing it for 13 years? They are to blame for spending over a trillion with no way of paying it back? They are to blame for a global recession and other countries debts which is affecting our own recovery considerabley? They are to blame for letting 4+million immigrants into this country?
They are taking the shit that labour left in a very bad time.
@403766 The unelected millionaires could clamp down on corporate tax evasion, costing multibillions of pounds every year, instead of making working people pay for the greedy mismanagement and squirreling of wealth into offshore accounts by the one percent at the very top. You may not have noticed, since you seem to rely on the Daily Mail for your info, but the slump runs right across the capitalist west, and a Conservative,Bush was at the helm in the USA, which came out worst of all, in 2008
@ToffClobberer Damn straight. I've never heard Obama blame Bush for the mess, although it all started on his watch. That's the difference between dumb and smart. Dumb just goes on blaming who was in power before, smart gets on with trying to help those worst affected by it instead of protecting those who are to blame for it.
I'm sick of Tory lies, trying to make us believe we all lived it up too much with services and things, so they can destroy what little they left us with last time.Bastards
@VindictusXIII He was talking about blaming the previous administration for the world deficit, the Tories over here, after 18 months in power, continue to ignore the fact the crisis was a world banking screwup/collapse and blame "Labour's policies" for the mess. I suppose we could assume the fact it's goit even worse since they got in so long ago should be "their" fault, but no. And although it was lack of regulation that allowed the bankers to mess up, they want LESS regulation.
@freddo27 Typical blinkered view. Everyone including Labour now admit their handling of the economy was poor, they hugely overspent causing massive debt, the state become too big and they gave away controls on the financial sector and didn't have a proper regulator when they messed with the BOE. Oh and not only did they sell our huge gold reserves at the bottom of the market, they let everyone know they were doing it which dropped the price even more. WAKE UP AND TAKE THE BLINKERS OFF!
@freddo27 I'm American and dont know much about UK politics but I feel I must inform you that while I am not a Bush supporter, Obama and his Administration have made quite a point about blaming "The Previous Administration" for what ever is happening in the country economically even to this day.
@freddo27 Obama has always defended his job as president by saying he is in a mess inherited from the previous administration. That includes national debt, Iraq war etc...he has in fact attributed these problems as a consequence of GW Bush's time in office. Obama also failed to close GITMO which he ordered to do during his first day in office, he is still sending troops abroad, and he has ordered the assassination of a US citizen on Iranian soil - believe me he isn't doing that good a job.
What US Citizen did he kill on Iranian soil? I'm only aware of Iranians being murdered on Iranian soil on his watch and of a US citizen being assasinated in Yemen.
@BelfastAtheist Anwar al-Awlaki, he was killed by a US drone that also took out 4 civilians around him. He had fundamentalist ideologies however he was not tried or have any charges pressed against him in regard to accusations surrounding his involvement with terrorism - there was no evidence of him being a terrorist, he was just a respected figure within the extreme islam community - he was unlawfully killed, which by law is murder. He held dual US and Yemen nationality, he was a US citizen.
@BelfastAtheist No its not false, a US citizen was murdered by the US Government - like I said Obama "ordered the assassination of a US citizen on Iranian soil". The guy held an American passport - he did not have any charges held against him and he was unlawfully killed. I never said multiple US Citizens were being murdered in Iran. However the murder of one US Citizen alone should be enough to have the president Impeached.
@freddo27 Well said. Here's what I want. I want the tories to publish all their draught policy documents prior and up to going in to government. That should blow the lie that Dave's policies are not driven by ideals but by a reaction to "the mess left by Labour".
I hate never once read the fucking daily mail you ignorant twat, no wonder this country is going to shit.
I'm studying economics at college, and I am appauled that so many people think that labour were good for the country, seriously it pisses me off how little the voters understand about economic policy(most important in my eyes) Look at Browns gold sale. In case you haven't noticed, there is little difference between toires and labour, but labour lie more + are easier to buy.
@403766 Yeh well I guess it all depends on your economic status. Furthermore, I hate New Labour almost as much as I hate the tories, you ignorant twat.
It seriously pisses me off how some people don't see how the closures and selloffs of the 80s left this country bereft of anything of any use to anyone who has to work for a,living. We're getting council tax bills as high as they are because the tory bastards sold off our services.
The tories are vermin. They cause nothing but harm to most.
Are you serious? Any economist would have done what thatcher did it the time(not all her policies), when the economy was a laughing stock in the 70's, so they couldnt afford to loose money constantly and people could buy secure shares + open to competition if the governement was rich they could have, however labour had once again spent all the money just befor they got in and messed up the ecenomy.
I hate to tell you but getting rid of shitty subsidised industries was a very
good thing. Someone needed to get rid of the deadweight, or literally britain would not have been a superpower. Fuck manafacturing as bad as it sounds but our future lies in services as were not a third world country, the thatcher saved us in that sense(but we're not here to talk about her), whilst almost all of labours policies have ruined our home economy..
@403766 Britain's not a superpower. Yes, I'm very serious. The Thatcher government's "prosperity" was short term, financed purely by the flogging off of our assetts, and only a handful gained anything by it. Whole communities, whole towns bore the brunt of her vicious, swathing cuts and closures. The pit closures, a vindictive, callous swipe at the unions, cost over 100 billion in today's money. Now, they want to open them again! The tory way is ideological, nothing more. It benefits the few.
Yeah but it's still in the top 10, and it was labour who had force the next government to make the cuts just like now, it's easy to keep the economy going when your bowwowring hundreds of billions each year to fund it, but what happens when you have to pay ti back? Shit needs to change drastically, they don't lay people off to make them vote against them by choice you know. And what the fuck? The mines were sweeping up hundreds of millions of taxpayers money no economist would
insult that decision! 90% of miners just stood around doing nothing getting paid literally, my econ teacher went there on a trip pretending to be intersted in steel, but were told to look at how many people were dong nothing as an example of inefficiency :L. They used to bring beds down and just sleep in the night shift as my uncle says. And seriously the bullying unions wanted constant wage increases and striking over the smallest of things was a joke, they had labour by the
@403766 Nobody gives a hoot about what "economists" think any more, but this bunch of non-elected millionaire crooks we have pissing down upon us now were told by those same economists NOT to do what they're doing at the moment and it looks like there was some merit in that' at least, cos they're fucking us up royally.
They're doing what their corporate backers are telling them to do. Don't make the bankers pay for the world crisis they caused, make the workers pay.
@freddo27 Several members of the Conservatives either grew up on council estates or were from ordinary backgrounds, but got off their backsides and made something of their lives. And what if some were born to wealthy backgrounds, they had a very good education which makes them better off for many roles. Most of the Labour ministers came from fancy educations in well off middle class areas, Labour are not socialists as the brain dead lefty voters would have you believe.
@freddo27 We need a law that limits the powers of any government that did not get a mandate. It's insane that this unelected coalition are making the biggest changes to our society for 2 or 3 generations. Why is the media not bringing this up?
@403766 Why did your tory "econ" teacher go to a pit pretending to be interested in steel?
The Miners worked harder in one day than the average tory will in a lifetime. The way tories shrug off thousands of wrecked lives and shattered communities as collateral damage at best, deservingly punished at worst, explains why they are so hated in areas where people do real work for a living as opposed to juggling of numbers, wheeler-dealing and stealing of publicly owned resources for their own ends.
@churchjamespeter The whole globe is facing economic disadvantage. I admit getting involved into such a financial mess was inevitable, although Labours endless spending and borrowing has placed us deeper into the crisis than other countries. I prize myself on being knowledgeable about British politics with both my study of politics and my active involvement in local politics; Thank you for asking.
@VapourBlue Actually public sector debt was coming down before the global financial crisis "hit". Then, endless bail-outs occurred and debt rose very sharply. If the Conservatives had been in power, what would they have done? Left the banks to die? Ha. Good one.
If we'd have done that then we'd be in a worse state than Greece, considering our economy depends so much on the financial sector.
@Eggyrocks1 Make some cuts to lower the deficit, it's simple. Labour believe that bail-outs and loans will save the day, this is all well and good for short term but in the long term it;s just going to make matters worse. Ever heard the phrase "the bigger they are the harder they fall"?
@VapourBlue The bail-outs of the banks were necessary. If Gordon Brown didn't save the banks, we would be in a worse position than we are now. If the Tories were in power they'd have done the same. This country depends too much on the financial sector. As for loans, Labour clearly stated at the last election in their manifesto that they'd half the deficit over the five years. Better to have sustained deficit reduction with moderate growth, than 'slash and burn' reduction with no growth.
@Eggyrocks1 The Conservatives use of cuts is painful for all of us in the short term but long term it's going to be a great benefit for us all. I guess you could use the phrase "take one step backwards to take two steps forwards" everyone wants the government to sort out the economy and they have a plan to do so; make some cuts but, as a nation, no one wants it to happen in their backyard. The truth is we need to make some sacrifices for the long term good but no one wants that.
@VapourBlue The cuts are not painful for us all, as the Tories would have you believe. They have always been the party for the rich. For example, the 50p tax rate is likely to go, the largest cut in corporation tax ever, the child benefit system (two parents earning combined ~£80,000 still get their benefit, meanwhile one parent earning £42,000 will not).
The idea to raise the tax-free allowance is a Liberal Democrat commitment, not a Conservative one.
@MuslimFuckJew Brown let the bankers roam free in 1998 and they did! ..he shouted no more boom or bust!... spent billions on Blairs projects..ie mass immigration which has cost us real indiginous Britains, billions and billions through health care, schools, over crowding on our roads housing etc. etc. a massive disaster of MY country...
@MuslimFuckJew Nigel farage... who is the only politician near reality in this abused country.. I voted conservative to oust out the labour loonys, but enough electorate had know idea ( as usual} the shit labour had left them in. to give a majority so, we are now saddeled with the more loony left liberals, a terrible chance lost! to sort out this Country...
@BREDATOR1 The truth is NONE of them can manage the economy effectively or successfully ; they're ALL experimentors, that's all but we suffer as the guinea pigs cos they (Lab & Tory) have monoploy on power due to the elitism inherent in our system
he's after libraries and books now... what a shame on brits............ they voted for a person whoz taking fundamentals away from kids.. he will ruin lives of thousands of children...cut and paste...
Its good to see times when Gordon behaves as himself. Its similar to the biggot incident. I think brown's reputation would have improved had he of acted, like here, on his own accord.
@valma1208 it was a great idea. Brown drove the stake through this country's heart. That's incompetent governance for you. What a dismal failure New Labour was.
@Rascasseman Labour was not a bad government. They were thrown on a crumbling skateboard that was traveling down an oily hill because of the state Margret Thatcher left the country in. We wouldn't even be in such a bad predicament if the Tories has not sold off companies to privatization.
What the flying fuck? They came in with some of the best economic figures of all time, and ended up doing what they do best, waste all the taxpayers money! Let in millions of immigrants, bow down to the E.U, sell our gold reserves for record low prices, let the banks do whatever the fuck they want...
How the fuck would the government not privitising industries which were LOSING MILLIONS ever day helpo us in the slightest way?
Please don't vote you don't get economics or politics..
@403766 The record unemployment created by the tories sat alongside the wrecked industries, schools, healthcare, the horrendous state of afffordable council housing after it had been flogged off, subsidised by the rest of us, and the myriad other social ills caused by an arrogant , inept, fucked up policy of cutting tax for the rich at the expense of the workers. There's plenty of money for good services, it's just all in the hands of too few and the cons like it that way. Change is coming.
@403766 The privatisations haven't helped us at all, they've just benfitted the fat cats, being the only people the tories care a hoot about and furthermore the services they flogged were self-sustaining, paid for by an affordable rating system that covered water supply in addition to all the other services we used to enjoy.
Our water is now owned by the French, our power lines by the yanks, power generation again french. How the fuck does that help any of us, the money going overseas?
Atleast the government is making money of taxing them rather than losing it, if you remeber britain was in an awful state which could not have lasted befor she came in and that was the most sensible way to make money.
@403766 Don't see how schools and hospitals are a waste of my money, I'm more than happy to pay a bit extra tax if these things can be improved, rather than flogged off to entrepreneurs or closed down completely.
The tory party are a bunch of wreckers and it'll be a sunny day when they get their lardy, overpriviliged, crooked banker-protecting asses kicked into the Thames for good.
The whole capitalist system worldwide has failed miserably. It would'v e failed whoever was in power. Accept it.
Don't expect anything to change after the election whoever you vote for. All the main parties are loyal to organizations like Common Purpose, the Bilderberg group, the EU and the globalist banking cartel. All are aiding the subversion of the UK on behalf of the EU. All support the growing police state, the aggressive wars, the banker bailouts and the destruction of British freedom and sovereignty. The voting system is there to give the illusion of choice. Research the new world order.
Ah well, summat for the Socialists to cling on to. Pretend that even a Conservative version of Socialism has not failed and bankrupted the country...again.
But lets be honest, Socialist are usually poorly educated failures who need a government to tell them what to do ;-)
@AndrewTally maybe not the stupid west coast "unionists" who follow a certian football team and who only define themselfs as NOT being catholic, you will find that most scots who do not associate with that crap do want independence and to me that is the measure of a true scot.

Yes, but you said U.S Citizens were being murdered in Iran - which is false. Is it not?
BelfastAtheist 1 month ago
@BelfastAtheist No its not false, a US citizen was murdered by the US Government - like I said Obama "ordered the assassination of a US citizen on Iranian soil". The guy held an American passport - he did not have any charges held against him and he was unlawfully killed. I never said multiple US Citizens were being murdered in Iran. However the murder of one US Citizen alone should be enough to have the president Impeached.

403766 3 months ago
@403766 Britain's not a superpower. Yes, I'm very serious. The Thatcher government's "prosperity" was short term, financed purely by the flogging off of our assetts, and only a handful gained anything by it. Whole communities, whole towns bore the brunt of her vicious, swathing cuts and closures. The pit closures, a vindictive, callous swipe at the unions, cost over 100 billion in today's money. Now, they want to open them again! The tory way is ideological, nothing more. It benefits the few.

hayhowwho 1 month ago

The Miners worked harder in one day than the average tory will in a lifetime. The way tories shrug off thousands of wrecked lives and shattered communities as collateral damage at best, deservingly punished at worst, explains why they are so hated in areas where people do real work for a living as opposed to juggling of numbers, wheeler-dealing and stealing of publicly owned resources for their own ends.

@VapourBlue eerrrrr................ no....what dont you understand about a global financial meltdown you half wit
churchjamespeter 4 months ago
@churchjamespeter The whole globe is facing economic disadvantage. I admit getting involved into such a financial mess was inevitable, although Labours endless spending and borrowing has placed us deeper into the crisis than other countries. I prize myself on being knowledgeable about British politics with both my study of politics and my active involvement in local politics; Thank you for asking.
VapourBlue 4 months ago
@VapourBlue Actually public sector debt was coming down before the global financial crisis "hit". Then, endless bail-outs occurred and debt rose very sharply. If the Conservatives had been in power, what would they have done? Left the banks to die? Ha. Good one.
If we'd have done that then we'd be in a worse state than Greece, considering our economy depends so much on the financial sector.
Eggyrocks1 4 months ago
@Eggyrocks1 Make some cuts to lower the deficit, it's simple. Labour believe that bail-outs and loans will save the day, this is all well and good for short term but in the long term it;s just going to make matters worse. Ever heard the phrase "the bigger they are the harder they fall"?
VapourBlue 4 months ago
@VapourBlue The bail-outs of the banks were necessary. If Gordon Brown didn't save the banks, we would be in a worse position than we are now. If the Tories were in power they'd have done the same. This country depends too much on the financial sector. As for loans, Labour clearly stated at the last election in their manifesto that they'd half the deficit over the five years. Better to have sustained deficit reduction with moderate growth, than 'slash and burn' reduction with no growth.
Eggyrocks1 4 months ago
@Eggyrocks1 The Conservatives use of cuts is painful for all of us in the short term but long term it's going to be a great benefit for us all. I guess you could use the phrase "take one step backwards to take two steps forwards" everyone wants the government to sort out the economy and they have a plan to do so; make some cuts but, as a nation, no one wants it to happen in their backyard. The truth is we need to make some sacrifices for the long term good but no one wants that.
VapourBlue 4 months ago
@VapourBlue The cuts are not painful for us all, as the Tories would have you believe. They have always been the party for the rich. For example, the 50p tax rate is likely to go, the largest cut in corporation tax ever, the child benefit system (two parents earning combined ~£80,000 still get their benefit, meanwhile one parent earning £42,000 will not).
The idea to raise the tax-free allowance is a Liberal Democrat commitment, not a Conservative one.

London2272 3 months ago
@403766 The privatisations haven't helped us at all, they've just benfitted the fat cats, being the only people the tories care a hoot about and furthermore the services they flogged were self-sustaining, paid for by an affordable rating system that covered water supply in addition to all the other services we used to enjoy.
Our water is now owned by the French, our power lines by the yanks, power generation again french. How the fuck does that help any of us, the money going overseas?

Don't expect anything to change after the election whoever you vote for. All the main parties are loyal to organizations like Common Purpose, the Bilderberg group, the EU and the globalist banking cartel. All are aiding the subversion of the UK on behalf of the EU. All support the growing police state, the aggressive wars, the banker bailouts and the destruction of British freedom and sovereignty. The voting system is there to give the illusion of choice.
