  • everyone has a hero..... and this guy was mine.

  • Il nous parle toujours avec son cœur, prenons exemple et faisons pareil,

allons toujours dans notre cœur, là où se trouve l'amour et la vérité,

merci du partage de cette belle interprétation,

    Elfaih ♥

  • the master..always...

  • Thanks Gary for your music. We will always remember you.

  • I think someone has something wedged up his anal cavity

  • gary moore playing a peter green classic with peter greens guitar..!!

  • G.M. the number ONE!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Love both Peter Green's and Gary Moore's versions.....impossible for me to decide which I like better.

  • Gary you are soo missed....that Les Paul sound of yours will stay with me forever...

    RIP you Legend...x

  • Just marvelous. . .

  • Peter Green + Gary Moore = the best string bent vibrato! .. BB king for the regular ;) That's how 'I' see it..

  • GARY MOORE, for playing the best music the world has been transported to paradise

  • awsum gary rip

  • @clwindle

  • a FINE cover of a FINE song...........

  • rip gary :(

  • We love you Gary, RIP

  • what a miss....... play for us from the sky, Gary

  • eee Gary moj , ulepsao si mi detinjstvo, počivaj u miru : *

  • this is one of my all time favourites - such a fabulous version

    RIP Gary :(

  • Absolute genius, nobody comes close, R I P Gary.

  • It is not equal to Peter Green, but good

  • @set2light sheeeeeezzzzzz......dude, that's pretty harsh. I love Peter Green too, but gary Moore could be his equal too.

  • @set2light Peter Green obviously thought Gary was good, thats why he gave him the guitar in the first place, so your comment about he dares to use Greens guitar is rubbish, why the hell do you think he gave it to him, to sit an look at it...

  • why cant we have music like this in the charts rather than mass produced wank like rhianna and kanye west who all sound the fucking same and cant play one instrument between them!!!! God if you are ever gonna intervene with this world do it to save the music!! and maybe some poor people if u got time. thanks.

  • This much can definitively said: There will always be but one Peter Green and there will also only be but one Gary Moore. That should be enough to satisfy anyone...

  • I still think Peter Green's version(s) are better (he did about 3 or 4) - singing and guitar playing. His version blows my mind, and I love Gary Moore's guitar playing. This is probably the most famous guitar in history too. Quite fittng to go from one guitar god to another.

  • This song is looks like said as my mind for this time yea..........

  • wonderful and so woe-ful in the same time,

  • GARY MOORE.....Most Gifted and awesome guitar player ......TOP SHELF! No one......NO One out plays this great artist!

Why wasnt he lifted higher on the Charts? No one out does him!

  • I don't think one person can like Peter Green and dislike Gary Moore.. or vise versa.

  • @sportsportsport

I love Greeny but believe Moore was a piece of shit.

  • @Carthsgtr Musically wise. It's not a personality contest music. If you're into that go listen to Rihanna.

  • @sportsportsport

That doesn't make a fucking lick of sense. Moore was a dick on the outside and his music sucked the penis as well.

  • @Carthsgtr Lol, nice troll.

  • @sportsportsport

I am not a troll, as I believe the words I speak. Insulting a musician on his own video is rather trollish, but you Moore fans seem to be so far up the mans ass you can't see past mother fucking shit.

This man was a TERRIBLE singer, a mediocre guitarist, and an average musician. Only god knows why Greeny let Moore have that amazing guitar.

  • @Carthsgtr I've met the man twice and seen him play live. Upon meeting him, I thought he was a nice guy, he signed my guitar magazine and talked to me for a bit. Personally I love his voice, I also think his guitar playing is expert and he has written some great lyrics too. It's cool you have opinions of your own and your own taste. I suggest that if you don't like Gary Moore, I wouldn't watch any youtube videos with him in it, otherwise you might annoy yourself. Have a nice day.

  • @sportsportsport People like Carthsgtr are so annoying. If they don't like Gary Moore, they should leave and not comment on the video. It's disrespectful and it shows their stupidity. I love how you told him to "have a nice day". Nice touch.

  • @metalliczombie Heh! thanks man! you're right too! they should just leave. I understand someone leaving a negative comment on a justin beiber video, but Gary Moore? come on! he's part of the talented bunch.

  • @Carthsgtr And your an ass

  • @Claptonblues55

In all honesty, I can acknowledge the fact that the man was a brilliant guitarist, but I really hate his voice and the horrible "80s" sound of the layering and synth. It really kills the feel of a song like this.

  • @Carthsgtr Well personally I was not an 80's fan, but the blues, well thats where Gary was a star. 80's or not, when he played the blues he felt it.

  • @Carthsgtr To each his own! Well I do agree about the 80's. They all did it, for fame or money, but they forgot about their craft. I’m a huge Clapton fan, but when he teamed up with Phil Collins in the 80's he took on the sound of Genesis. Very well done but it was not Clapton’s style. If the blues have influenced them, then they should nurture that craft. But they all seem to go commercial sooner or later. Cheers!

  • Love Gary, but I don't understand why he does that? His live solos are note for note all the same, you have a full canvas to paint over and you paint the same picture everytime. Just weird to me that he does that, too talented and passionate to be copying his own notes.

  • @naabjr so then in reality he is copying Peter Green

  • great version - and...nothing against Peter Green too. Gary and Peter, both have the feeling for the blues.

  • I like Peter Green's version much better.

  • I have to agree with you that his bends and vibratos are amazing... Altogether he feels the blues. I hope he's going to play the Les Paul on tommorow concert! Can't wait to see it!

  • He hasn't owned that guitar for some time now. Sold it. How was the concert?

  • Some day, this guy will be recognised as a true master of taste/tone/feel, just love all his albums, from early rock to present day! , playing a Strat/Charvel or Les Paul, celtic rock or soulful blues, just Brilliant!!.

  • @58LP Yeah man I agree! He will one day, and I hope it's not when he dies.

  • @sportsportsport ,yep, really hope he does get the respect he's due, a true master of the guitar! imho... btw~ nice fluid playing on the two princes solo!

  • @58LP Hey dude, thanks for checking out my videos. And for your nice comment back =)

  • @58LP we recognize him... us.. the true fans... and thats all he would want..

  • El puto amo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I Luv this Duster Bennett masterpiece!

Gary has such sweet bends & vibrato...It just doesn't get any better than this for me!

The only equal is Peter Green's raw version.

  • @lauratwo16

Petes version is blues. This is sloppy 80s bullshit. Gary Moore is over rated and incredibly unrestrained.

  • @lauratwo16 YUP! agreed 100%!

  • @lauratwo16 Cool that you mentioned our Greeny :)

  • gary are the best, fuck others

  • when gary plays the blues, man, everybody should shut up

  • I'm not sure Muddy Waters and others would have agreed with you.

  • Comment removed

  • I couldn't agree more!!

  • totally

  • similar to jimi hendrix and stevie ray vaughan comparisons you have the originators and the innovators some started others improved you cant compare em because they all have their pluses and minuses but they are all great

  • fuck,, thats the gary moore we all are waiting to come again!

  • Boss-a-rama.

  • Great video!! Thanks for posting!!!

  • There are several Peter Green versions of this song available. It isn't posted on YouTube, but I suggest if you can to locate JaS from " Fleetwood Mac Live in Boston Vol. 3". That version has bite, intensity, and a brilliant use of dynamics. It crushes any other Green version that's out there.

  • I mean this is what the blues is all about~

    Play on sweet man~

  • Szia! Nagyon jó ez a dal,és az egész "live blues" koncert, király!

  • Not very good really is it?

  • He doesnt play like peter , he blows peter out the friggin park, he cant sing as well as him though i'll give u that!

  • that is the real peter green guitar! I can tell it because of the reversed pickup on neck and the out of phase sound from 2:47 (the two pickups together sounds very thin) and looks just like the peter's one....anyhow please everybody, learn to really love peter green and shure you will can play like gary, but there is no way on earth to play like peter...(and sing)

  • Just listen to the "antiphase" guitarsound Gary Moore is imitating, combine with the sweet sound of the neck element and the licks he is using, all of that is Peter Green stuff. I respect Gary Moore's fine guitar playing but he would admit Peter Green is someone he is looking up to and would be his tutor for blues

  • seen peter green supporting gary moore in lpool he couldnt even play the guitar properly anymore not much to look up to really what do you think

  • Well, Peter Green isn't was he was like 40 yrs ago. Sad but true, I agree. But back then, man, he was outstanding.

  • peter green isnt that good are u joking? thatsy why gary moore covers HIS songs and not the other way round

  • Gary Moore in a higher class than Peter Green? Sorry, that's absurd. Gary himself would agree!

  • The 1 and only Mr. Gary Moore. xxxxxxxx

  • i don't like much gary but this is the best blues song 4 me he has recorded. Great job and i think is better than the green's original. just an opinion. of course i like far more peter as a musician and bluesman

  • Well, that's your opinion and you're certainly entitled to it, definately.

My opinion is the last sentence on your previous post is stupid.

Point out the times on the video where his timing is inaccurate.

  • I don't care who does this best!! they both! PG and GM play this with so much feeling and soul that just to listen them play, is a pleasure to my ears.

  • Some like the mother, some like the daughter. Imo Peter Green´s version from the Boston Teaparty vol 1, is played with much more nerve and feeling than GM´s version.

  • God bless Duster Bennett.

  • Thanks cymbula...you know I agree.

  • Gary never fails to blow me away. Amazing.

  • Its hard to better Peter greens version, but Gary did it..

  • Saw your post saying this is better than PG's.Well at first i didn't agree so i've sat through both versions. (probably 4 times each just to prove you wrong) I hate to say it but yes you're probably right.

  • 68blues, ive been thinking about you guys comments.

Im not argue about whos best, but I compare this vid also a few times with

PG's posted by andria260807and GM's interpretation is more polished

(listen to the smooth keyboard) and the band is just a backingband, whilst

PG and the band are playing together, with more dynamic and so is PG's solo.

I know its a matter of taste, but im in favour of Greeny. GM is a fantastic

player and im a great fan, but imo he doesnt own this song.

  • vanu49...well i actually got into an argument with myself over this one.

I've been a PG fan since the late 60's and as for GM i've never been his biggest fan but i would never knock him.

Although PG has the far superior voice, i gave this to GM on his excellent tone.

Trust me i didn't want to give this to Moore, and it is a fine comment you've posted but i have to stick to my original comment..

    .reluctantly.

As i said in an earlier post the video really compliments the song. Cheers.

  • 68blues. Alright then, I like a person who stands for his opinion, but on one thing we can agree, PG has the far superior voice, thats not often mention, im glad you say that. So lets enjoy this great music.

    Cheers!!!

  • I did the same like 68blues, well not exactly 4 times...but yes, Gary did it better than PG.

There are a lot of emotions when he sang.."thinking..." geez makes me getting emotional too..

  • he is the bst guitar player in the world better than all !!!!!!!!!

  • Less is Moore. He's an amazing technical player, but he's most convincing when he backs off. This is his best song, and rivals what Peter Green did, and I saw Peter with Mac in 1968. Few better, ever. Gary does him justice, and that ain't easy.

  • The best thing Gary ever did live!

Usually he tends to overdo things at live concerts, but this is superb.

I like it even better than Duster Bennet's original version, or Peter Green's.

  • Der beste Blues Song . Genial gespielt .

  • Liked the atmosphere and lighting on that video, i thought it complemented the song. A few bottles of beer and sitting watching that .....cool.

  • my favourite song ever, performed by Gary! The Blues in Person..incredible!

  • Love Gary, and his Peter Green covers are usually brilliant, but this just isn't very good... just a weak version of Need Your Love So Bad. Much prefer the original!

  • Great song, great artist, Genius musician. No words against him!

  • i'll be honest, Gary's singing has never made me sit up and take notice, but this is a really exposed track and it's obviously live, so Gary - nice vocals mate! Wish he'd play this less-is-more stuff more often - it's gorgeous!

  • nice version, gary always with his tasty playing

  • yes, it is the Peter Green Les Paul.
