  • this guy has a way of playing that pisses me off!

  • @PaoloLegnetti What seems to be the problem?

  • I like the sound of this one :)

  • So you get 40 presets? Or are there more?

  • awesome demo.

  • Sound beautiful. Perfect demo.

  • hi there mr burg, sorry for my ignorance, but is there a mode on the eventide timefactor that allows the delay to trail after turning the pedal off?

  • It's a shame you included reverb in the signal path for this demo: it would have been more useful to hear the effect of this box on its own...

  • Wow! That sounds great! What guitar, amp, and mic are you using?

  • Sounds good - in terms of practicality, how does the Boss DD-20 Giga-Delay stack up here? I like the fact that you can program the DD-20 - can you program Tonefactors? And does the Tonefactor offers delays that you CAN'T get with the DD-20?

  • @utube9000 Time factor has something like 100 programmable presets and every mode has 2 independent delays (2 tempos and 2feedback and mix settings at once). Looping time is double on the Boss. Timefactor parameters (each one or several at once) are able to be controlled via external expression pedal.

  • hi,how did you get this sound? i really love it .with mic? or just the camera ?

  • Ha ha... caught the La's "There She Goes" in there... nice!

  • Great vids !! What do you use for cables? Any favs for delay pedals?

  • Finally, I have one of these coming my way.

I am going to run it along side my Strymon El Capistan and my Skreddy Echo.

I can't wait! The V3 update seems to be pretty awesome.

  • your like the only guy i can listen to for 8 minutes and not get bored...

  • if anyone with experience with this pedal could help me out it'd be greatly appreciated. I'm finally going to buy a delay pedal that should basically hit everything i need in a stage ready box. This is so far what seems to be it, i've tried everything from Boss, Satch's Time Machine, TC Electronic's Nova Delay, and others. I play a very wide variety of music and is there anything this doesn't do very well in particular?

any help would be greatly appreciated

  • @Littlewing1213 by far the most versatile and great sounding delay out there.. it's not quite cheap but worth every cent... for live performance and studio as well... I've been using my friend's for a couple of weeks now and I just ordered mine yesterday... =) so I'm pretty excited about it... I may not be as experienced but I only needed a couple of weeks to forget my boss DD3 and my momory boy deluxe forever

  • @presencechaser The Factors would certainly cut it for me but the truth is that I don't use them either. My board is a spartan affair given the access I have to some heavy-duty stuff. I only use what I need. Check out v=WrODOyF-g2E to see what I mean. Cheers, BK.

  • Wow Brett hats off to you mate, really really good job on this video... Maserati plugins! Dude, you are earning way too much money! Seriously though good on you, for making a great career in a fairly small market! Your vids are very good.

  • @HedgeHogRon The truth is I could never afford them - Waves plugs. This channel doesn't pay a cent (much to the horror and frustration of my long suffering wife!) but it has bestowed a few pedals on me. The reason I can use the Waves stuff in Post is because I work for their distro in Australia. That avails me use of their stuff - I have to know about it. Lucky me. :)

  • @Burgerman666 I know ur @ Sound & Music Brett, I used to talk on the phone with you back in the day-I worked at Ellaways many moons ago :)

  • Corrrr.... that's a nice pedal !!!

    Gimmie, Gimmie, Gimmie :)

I listened to this in my studio through a pair of Spirit Absolute 2's and , well.......

If I didn't know I was watching youtube, I would have sworn you were in the room with me..brilliant quality.

In your arsenal of pedals, do you have a Boss GT-3 by chance?

I just bought one, but can't suss out the FX SEND. The manual was crap!!

Do I have to activate it somewhere inside the gubbins?

Your help would be much appreciated.

    Cheers

  • @SONGSTICKS Thanks! I owe a little to Waves Maserati for the mastering on that one. Great plug.

    GT3? Never tried one, sorry!

  • @Burgerman666

    I've sussed it now.

Found one for sale on ebay and asked the seller, turns out I need to get my head round the wiring / fx chain. Nothing to do with the settings in the pedal.

I highly recommend the GT-3. Real quality sound and so tweakable.

I paid £65 for it. and money well spent I'd say.

    I do have a hankering after a T.C.Electronic Nova Delay pedal !!

Have you got one of those? If you have...I'm jealous !!

  • @SONGSTICKS Just dropped you a PM offering help on the GT-3 :)

  • @HeartfeltDawn

    Hi..Thanks.

How do I access private messages..never done that before.

  • Dude, I finally listened to this with headphones......dang.......I've got to go find a lot more videos and see how much better they sound now.

  • @cosmogang Heheh. All my stereo stuff sounds pretty with cans. i think I mastered a lot of them that way. Cheers, B.

  • what guitar were you using mann, the tones were amazing!

  • @TheAcousticFrenzy Can't remember - it was a while ago.. A Strat, I think.. :)

  • Hey Burgerman, I loved this video! quick question though... is there a way to change the delay subdivisions to quarter note, dotted eighth, half, etc.. and tap in. if there is is it pretty easy?

  • @100grapes Sure. Just stick it into 'tempo' mode and tell Delay A or B which division you want them be, then tap away.

  • I wonder how this would sound on a 12 string. Johnny Marr style.

  • Hi i know this is a total noob question but i'm thinkin about getting one of these but I cant tell if theres a way to bypass it. do you have to just unplug it or is one of those switches a bypass?

  • theeeeeere she gooooooes. there she gooes agaaaaain....

  • What can you do two different types of delay, lets say one quarter note and one doted eighth note at the same time on this pedal?

  • Great Demo. Just bought one of these. Sorry to say I searched the Eventide Forums, viewed your 37 posts, and can't find where you posted presets (with one single preset exception). Love the sounds though... hence the search! :)

  • You did a really good job. I will never understand this pedal. I have one, but I cannot set my own sound. Your sounds are all amazing. Thanks a lot for the video. Do not hesitate to post the settings. congratulation!

  • @Dopaminergie Thanks! You know, the stoopid thing is that I never saved any of the settings. I'm a hopeless tweaker. I did however post some of the settings on Eventide's site around 10 months ago. You might have to hunt for the thread but they'll be there. TGP too, if I'm not mistaken. I'll be doing the PitchFactor in a couple of weeks. That should be fun. At the moment though, I'm still trying to teach myself how to use it properly. Thanks for watching! BK. :)

  • @Burgerman666 Thanks for the reply. All the best.

  • Comment removed

  • Hi Burgerman!I loved the patch you used to play Roxanne!Would you mind to share the settings?Keep the videos coming!

  • @MrTelecosta Thank you, sir! I'm afraid I can't help with the patch though..Unless it's on the Eventide site where I posted most of theme 9 months ago. I'm the type that mucks around with a sounds, records it once and then moves on. Much to the frustration of engineers and you guys. Sorry!!

  • that is a VERY cool pedal. I dont hear stereo delays very often. and this comes out really well. loll i cant wait to have my stereo rig with my g major 2 XD

  • what guitar are you using?

  • sorry i already saw it...

  • very good demo, thx

    berh

  • well there i was chundering on to my wife about why can't anyone else do as good reviews as good old burgs (stop moaning she said) with such good sound quality when i came across this timefactor one - i yelped 'at last someone else understands good soundings' then promptly fell over laughing when i realised it was indeed the master again. burgs your vids are just light years ahead of anyone elses and should be compulsory viewing before anyone posts a review. thanks so much . . .

  • Get well soon! This is a beautiful video all around! Great job.

    The pedal sounds great too!

  • Okay Brett. If you had to take this or the Tech 21 DLA to a show, which would it be?

I have a DLA and love it, but I do like having the options for different delay sounds. Especially mod delay.

  • Tough call. The Eventide is fabulous as we all know; it's hard to beat its versatility and sound. But that damn wall wart.. The D.L.A., on the other hand, gives me everything that I actually use at the gig - a little modulated delay, tap tempo sometimes. So, despite the scope of the Eventide, I've been veering towards the Tech 21 of late. The T-Rex Reptile is another very good one although it's short the tap tempo facility.

  • You've got an impressive collection, and great playing too! If you ever want to give any away, pedals OR playing, let me know ;p Haha

  • hi. how did you record that in stereo? sounded really really good!

  • Thanks! I fed the left and right inputs to separate and hard panned instances of Amplitube Fender (clean Deluxe Reverb or Twin setting, I forget which) inside Logic. So just two channels of Logic, panned left and right. You could do the same with two *real* amps and mics but this was the easy way out! :) Thanks for watching!

  • incredible clarity O_O

  • Brett, great demo once again. Good to see your getting better. Did I see a Farndurk Valven in the opening intro. Not seen a demo of the Valven yet. :-)

  • True enough. And I owe Brian one - or two! Coming up.. :) Thanks for watching Chris :)

  • High quality pedal and demo! Thanks.

I´m happy to know that you are recovering fast! :-)

  • SUPERB, Brett. Very nice pedal, sweet tones out of it!

Everything's ok with your back? Are you recovering well?

  • Hey Dimitriyus, thanks for the kind words once again. :) Yes, thank you, I'm getting better. That's why I'm on a mission to churn out some high-quality clips at the moment; just so I can get back into the swing of things. I can't stand and play yet, but I can sit for a little bit with my Strat and a pedal or two, so I'm happy. All good! And Sadie keeps me smiling, too. :) Hell, she keeps EVERYONE smiling! Cheers, BK.

  • sounds awesome

  • Fantastic demo Bur ! :-)

  • Damnit! Rated 4 stars by mistake.

    Great demo!

  • Haha. Thanks! There's plenty more of that pedal that I haven't shown yet like the tap tempo and looper. I might have to do a Part 2... :)

  • definitely

  • Bravo, great demo!!!

  • Thanks! It's amazing what you can achieve when you're bored, eh? :)

  • Most clear and versatile delay pedal I have ever heard.

    Beautiful... 5/5

  • Thanks! I think the reverb on 1:2 is pretty cool. No one ever talks about that sound.. Thanks for watching. :)
