Given that his post regeneration trauma can be anything from amnesia to mental collapse 11 was pretty lucky that the worst thing he went through was a few crap meals. Just as well this wasn't Colin Baker's debut, I don't think the show would have recovered from a Doctor beginning his tenure by strangling a ten year old.

I can't tell of the Tardis went homocidal on him for having done that, if it reaped the benefit of some of the energy (& is a reason why he chose to blow up in there), or if it's just that he honestly pushed it too long before his regeneration started & there wasn't time for other arrangements 'cause he couldn't let go of Rose

I always kind of wondered why he chose to start flying it myself, and I guess the disturbing conclusion I came to was that he was in denial, like...completely. I mean, he really didn't want to go, he wasn't ready....I guess he didn't want to face it. And I think the TARDIS was just...over run with energy and it caused her to short out. I don't think she was going 'homicidal' , I think it was just her only possible reaction to THAT MUCH energy.

So w/this regeneration, he goes from speculating on his femininity to screaming like a girl as he's dangling from the Tardis that's a run away locomotive that's about to crash! i.e. the length of his hair & his saying "i'm a girl!" right before he's soiling half of London while dangling from the Tardis.
