I enjoyed your video. I do think we overlook the simple things that help us enjoy life. Some of mine: My fav yellow coffee cup..I love this cup.......my yellow trinket jar with the orange lid...so cheerful....my stool that I carry all over the place for climbing on and sitting on...I love this little stool.......my fav flip flops....pink polka dotted.......:)
just as gasygurlys1290 said...+ that you almost bored me to death, yet somehow, someway, your video was strangely entertaining. you have some great enthusiasm, even if it is directed at trivial items like pens, books, etc (the mp3 player is an exception)
@RVqueen Dude, my thoughts toward them didn't come from a factory -- you can't pay for gratitude! Also, I sewed a cat. And I talked about writing. This is far from consumeristic.
Wow, your just an amazing person, I like the way your mind works, I actually watched all seven minutes of your video... and honestly that just never happens haha.
Mkay =] I'm not subscribed to your videos, but my friend showed me these videos and i agree with a lot of the things you say. And I'm sure you took drama or acting in high school but i think you would make an AMAZING actress, like do you ever audition for parts or anything? well anyways, i LOVE mp3 players! but i think walk-men are the greatest but i digress your neat haha!
but yeah your really pretty too.
erm idk?
im bored and decided to comment on this video =] well uhhhm
julie, you are an absolute nutter, and you are so funny, i spent about 2 days watching all your videos, you are hilarious and when im down i come on here and watch one of you videos, it puts a smile on my face and makes my day.
you are so random, and just so funny i know ive already said that but its cos its true, please keep on making videos, you are hilarious !! xx
I just subscribed and I love your videos. your hilarious. and the music one is soo true the song Hey Ya! by OutKast reminds me of my first time watching Freddy Vs. Jason
I don't forget the importance of being able to represent our thoughts with arbitrary symbols without which pens, books and planners would have little use.
I should say (on the actual subject of the video for once) I like what you are saying. Pen and paper and books is cool, cause anyone can afford it and if you want you can put youre entire heart on it.
1. I love pens too. They're so much better than pencils. And I love writing down my thoughts and reading other people's thoughts. I think that's one of the reasons why I want to get my bachelor's in Commnucations:)
BTW: Missed your videos and glad that you made a new video.
Ya books and mp3 players they are wonderful. There are a lot of things we take for granted and I'm glad you brought them to our attention :) And I'm very happy you made another video!Kinda forgot how much I like them! :D
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I think you have just made an amazing video. I can't help imagining people 50 years from now or space aliens watching this video with awe.
Gum is a fine stress reliever, and (supposedly) it helps you to concentrate.
Pen and paper is better than chisel and stone for sure. I routinely browse the selection of pens in the store. Maybe you have more pens than you need, like me.
I prefer digital planners but there's something to be said for an in-your-hands book. Pen to paper reinforces a "commitment" to your plan and strengthens the will to do it.
Digital MP3 players can't "touch" vinyl record covers and their liner notes. Peace.
Wonderful. Speaking of luxury, how about this little You Tube and I Tube and We Tube Internetty stuff? I think you understand what I mean when I say the luxury of this website has been lost upon so many people.
You're one of the rare birds who restores dignity to this here site, that's why I keep watching.
I totally get excited about everyday things like that too! Like the other day, I freaked out at the coolness of trees. I mean you see them all the time, but have you ever thought about the fact that they are like crazy old and they change colors and they give us tons of oxygen and they are homes for all kinds of animals...Woah...like they're pretty much awesome. :D
Also, I think I'm gonna name my Mortar Board "Morty" now...
i missed you julie!! just today i was on youtube and i was thinking that you hadn't made a video in a long time, and then there you were. it was a magical moment.
Books may be beautiful but they have to stand in awe compared to you, Julie!
Let's see here. You're already familiar with my love of codes and ciphers...I also like noticing the little things about the English language that no one ever questions and trying to figure out what they mean (you can tell I have a great mind :P ) and instilling people with a little common sense. The little things for me are all abstracts, as you can tell; I don't really lean towards any material objects.
so i spent 6:58 listening to you explain to me what a pen, a book, a planner, a mp3 player, and several other things that i knew about when i was 4, is. so thank you.
YAY for Edgar Allen Poe!!!!!! I LOOoooOOOOVE Poe!!!
Oh...my gosh!!
Gum!!
Pens!!
Books!!!
Creativity!!
Music!!!!
WHOOHOO!!!!!!!!
I love pens! I mean, they make me THAT excited!! I asked for pens for my birthday and my mom looked at me like I was crazy but I absolutely adore pens and paper!!! They are....one of God's gifts to humanity!!

Those things are all very consumeristic and material. What about the things that didn't come from a factory and you don't need money for?
