@evilwarcow Just listen to a variety of different genres from punk to rap. From death metal to 60's pop. Get a feel for music and listen for elements you like and want to emulate. Music's similar to any form of art in which everyone has their own style, don't be afraid to experiment and don't let people tell you how to play (:
