I have seen Oscar spar, work out, I've seen him in live fights myself, I know first hand he does not swing wildly, he always outlanded his opponents(most times at least), those numbers don't lie. I really dont think he's scared of cotto, I think De La Hoya has amazing heart, and can take on the biggest and the best. He proved his heart just by going in the ring with hopkins and knocking out Vargas.

He also proved his lack of heart by running from Tito, rufusing to give rematches to Whitacre, Quartey, and Sturm. Those men got robbed. He beat a very damaged Vargas and lost to 40 year old Hopkins. Now he is running from the biggest, baddest, loudest dog in Margarito. If DLH grows a sack and fights Marg I will respect him more.

Good video, if ur a oscar fan, but I'm not really..still hes has some good fights, still not in the SRL league.
He has amazing heart but he also knows that theres no way he is gonna beat Cotto..Cotto is in his prime and theres none out there who cant beat him now. and whats wrong with fighting puerto ricans ? He should just ignore his wife on this one, and do what he want himself. It sounds like a poor excuse to me, since when did Oscar not do what Oscar wants, regardless of what anyone says ?

when asked about cotto he said he wouldn't fight him or any other puerto ricans. but then later on he agreed on fighting felix trinidad again. so i just assumed he was scared of cotto.
but then again everything changed when margarito destroyed cotto.

The book is great! I bought it a few weeks ago and it is really inspiring. He doesn't overly focus on his fights as much as he focuses on his personal life, which is very intriguing.
