Wonderfully musical playing. I felt like I was hearing music and not a series of flatpicking exercises. I second the sentiment that it was a Grierish version and that's a great thing. Coming down the lineage from Clarence to Tony to DG, we have all very musical and tasteful players and that is what I hear here. so here, here sir and I hope to hear you play live sometime.
@flatpikinguitar I took that video down. The guitar is a Seagull M6, I think. I bought it for $300 used from guitar center because it was the best guitar I could afford at the time. I took the neck off and shimmed it about 3mm back to correct the intonation. It's the best intonated guitar I've ever played! It spent 5 days with a Tone Rite one it, and that really seemed to open up the sound.
@mandohat - the guitar sounds superb. I used to spend a lot of time hanging out at the North Dallas Guitar Center - and it was there that I realized that even though I've owned some outstanding Martins, and still own a Santa Cruz Model D that is beyond awesome - that some pretty inexpensive models by "lesser" brands can be every bit as nice as the high end Martin or smaller Luthier models that all the best known flatpickers seem to play.
