@mcolby932 sadly they are at risk so are illegal to own as pets so if you find one it'll be expensive and almost impossible to find a vet for them.

good thing she picked it up with a strainer. i picked up a litter of hamster babies from my hamsters when i was 11 and i went to play my computer game. i started hearing crunching and i knew it was from my hamster cage. i shrugged it off, thought they were cracking sunflower seeds. i go check on the babies about 15 minutes later, one was half-eaten, one was decapitated and one was ripped in half from the head to the sphincter
