Conspiracy theorists are fond of claiming that the explosions heard in the towers (well before the collapses) were demolition charges. But since thermite doesn't explode, why would the alleged plotters use both thermite AND explosives? Also, thermite seems like an inappropriate material to use because it only burns vertically, and you'd need to use something else if you want to cut the support columns horizontally.

Samus, you're a retard. The columns are made to support the tower (with compromises), not a 500-mph plane and its kerosene fire. Melt and creep are separate properties; you can get the latter at half the temperature.

Good video. Did you hear the latest? Thermate. That is thermite mixed with sulphur. Stephen Jones,BYU physics profesor,tested some steel from the WTC. His tests prove there was thermate on the steel. Sulphur,he said,drops the melting point of steel to around 1600 degrees farenheit.

He recieved the steel samples from one of the hundreds of memorials that were erected around the country. The welder who was in charge of erecting the monument has an informed wife who cleaned the debris from the steel and saved it for profesor Jones and his peers to test.
