@aaronacj.....i dont care what happens...honda vtec heads are way more effecient than most ppl know...and high compression and boost doesnt go together but ive seen it work. its not impossible. if you got a good tune youre ok. plus, have you ever seen a high compression boosted motor on E85? trust me, it will dissappoint you if you ever run across one done right
@Dani01....well i gotta homie in austin who had a b16 with ctr pistons on basemap keepin up with evo's that were modified..so whoever put stage 3 cams and type r pistons in a b16 deserves to be slapped...and the replacement for displacement is.................high compression and boost!
@aaronacj boost comes earlier...and higher compression doesnt mean its bad for boost, it just means you can't run as much boost as lower comp. i know a few people running high comp (forged of course) with boost and they're cars run great
@blckevo8 thats because youre a dumb honda fag... i mean fan.. my brother had a eg hatch with a b16, intake, headers, exhaust, stage 3 cams, type r pistons and tuned with chrome and never made any further than 179whp... his SI with just intake exhause s2k intake manifold and test pipes made 198whp... b16 is just weak, need too much work to make power and actually be fast, better off doing a J32 swap and you will be as fast as a b16 built STOCK.. no replacement for displacement
@ soccer. Turbo doesn't hurt an engine as long as the engine is built for the turbo. A forced induction engine ( turbo supercharged) has lower compression pistons in them. I seen a spec v run down the track that was boosted and it did pretty good
I wasn't claiming superiority, just that V6 swaps aren't exclusive to Nissan. Some of the Supercharged GM V6's are finding their way into Cavaliers.
I'm no fan of doing V6 swaps cause the torque makes it difficult to get the power to the ground without serious help. I'd rather have an engine like a K20/24 where the power comes in higher up in the revs, yeah I'll be slower in a 1-2 shift but the car with the most HP usually is faster if everything else between the 2 cars is equal.
@kidnkorner i like both swaps this guy on here has a 3.5l swap into his cavi and its beautiful im a fan of v6 swaps into compacts the power to weight is awesome just like you said though we need to get the power to the ground... but im doing a 3.5l amanti swap into my kia optima with a tiburon 6 speed and im gonna pop in a custom built 3.0l crank from the xg300 and change the whole engine around to run up to 8k instead of the stock 6,300rpms
wow wat a beast!! nice sentra man!! ..................... now all you lil honda kids this is wat you call a swap hahaha (: honda cnt compare to the vq swap at all!!
@kidnkorner yea man the j series civics dnt impress me at all. i just youtubed them. yes they run mid 12 to mid 13s but the h22 in a hatch can run mid 13s stock. so again didnt impress compared to the vq 35 sentra. plus the vq 35 sentra wieghs more than the j series in a hatch and still the hatch runs slower.
ohh ok cool. the se-r altima v6 would fit right?and can u keep the 6speed tranny from the spec v sentra?
Dominicanboi1 1 month ago
@Dominicanboi1 yes, all fwd vq35de's will fit. and yes you can keep the 6 speed, just have to take it out and put it in a max/altima bellhousing
02specVQ 1 month ago
How much did that swap cost
Dominicanboi1 2 months ago
@Dominicanboi1 base swap starts around $4500, this cost a few grand more bc i had cams, nitrous, tune, headers and a little pnp
02specVQ 2 months ago
@Dominicanboi1 you can check out b15u.com to follow my new build
forced induction racing are the guys that did it

I hate that this swap basically requires a SE-R. Keep getting told it is too much work for my 1.8S.. :( Sad-face all the time...

@spunkyprep just will take time and money...
sell the 1.8 and buy a spec

@vtecnegro85 What happens if you add boost to the higher displacement? Also higher compression and boost usually don't go well together.

@kidnkorner just depends on how far the race is

@kidnkorner car with the most hp would go to the v6 then lol. unless the k20 for example is built and turbod

@kidnkorner thats the same problem with even the stock engine (qr25). cant get the power to the ground w/o real good tires to match. imo. great vid

While Nissan has the better V6-V6 motor swaps are not exclusive to Nissan. Better search around for J series swapped civics.
