  • Beautiful machine, but probably going to be out of my price range for awhile. Use to fly a gyro years ago when you could get a Benson B-7 and B-8 out of Raleigh North Carolina in the 50's early 60's. Loved those machines.

  • Awesome toy. Saddly one will never be able to go shopping with those things.

  • Something that looks this good usually never makes it off the drawing board. I'm glad to see a prototype flying around.

  • hemp plastic

  • Must surely rate as the best Gyro of all in the looks department, not having flown one to judge but would love one, well done also to Red Bull for your input

  • Man don't think you can play on a sim and that makes you a hellie pilot If you try it on a real hellie with no experience ,you are dead no if no buts .get trained then enjoy.

  • imagine you crashing that thing..........

  • ----Dear Sana----

  • #Aztekpr1de a flight simulator is so diffrent that a real heli unless u have a military grade symulatour

  • I want one.

  • Mum, if I miss my pocket money for 6 weeks, can I have one?

  • looks like a gyro-copter in a tux ...

  • @texNoz Porsche is about $125 000 USD and seats 2 people, and they sell like hot cakes. Relatively.

  • the ugliest fucking thing i ever seen LoL

  • one question what if i forget to refuel?!!

  • So fast

  • Would I be able to take this out in the city? It's not like I don't know how to fly an helicopter. I've played many flight simulators and video games I guess it's basically the same, except without killing people.

  • and you probably know how to drive a formula 1 car because you have a play station 3 right? because the clutch work is all the same in real life as it is in a video game. same as flying a chopper or aircraft. just press x and use the control pad.

  • @throathammer1 Pretty much

  • @AzteKpr1de You think you can fly a helicopter because you play video games?

Helicopters are notoriously hard to fly properly.

But let's start by you not being able to distinguish between a helicopter and an autgyro, which is what you can see in the video.

You cannot hover an autgyro (it always moves forward), so you need a runway to land it. Therefore, you can take it to the city, but to the city airport.

  • @XB10001 shut the fuck up

  • @XB10001 dude, seriously he was joking, get a life...

  • @XB10001 Actually if the wind is correct and right speed it is possible to hover, I've done so myself. You can even take off the same way, but you don't have those conditions very often.

  • The epic journey begins for the comment of @BacheKhala !

  • I want one!! How much in GBP £ >?

  • Not a single word about flight range on the web site. WTF?

  • NOTICE THE WING-UNDERCARRIAGE, MUCH BETTER THAN RETRACTS, LESS WEIGHT, EASIER, CHEAPER AND SAFE (ALWAYS DOWN). WITH A PLANE, WE CAN MAKE WINGS A TOUCH SMALLER TO OFF-SET THE EXTRA DRAG, BEING LIFTING DRAG!

  • look em up on google haha u can get a scorpion for 12,000 VERY cheap

  • man 125k, its cheap for a machine like this..its beautiful

  • WANT

  • I make a tour last week! it very nice!

  • is this free?

  • @KelferMookie No, but the laughs people get from you trolling are definitely free!

  • Класс! С низу так карликовый Ми 24.

  • i wanna fly that thing to school

  • fantastic design... I like this cockpit shape as glider

  • 325kg empty weight + 53kg Fuel minus 450kgMTOW = 72kg The pilot and his passenger may only weight 36kg each. Figures are from HP

Even without fuel each person may weight only 62.5kg

Everybody can easily see when your are overloaded

  • @Climbontrack So the fat kid stays home!!

  • @jasonfish07 :-(

  • I prefer a used Robinson R44 for the same price! And most probably the R44 will last longer ;-)

  • All this cute, plastic techy nonsense is predicated upon fat, bloated and rich Americans (like me) buying this drivel. Used to wuz, no mo.

  • not bad, but a chinese farmer build one from scraps he had laying around.

This is way to expensive for just a gyrocopter.. I bought a mini ultralight j3 cub kit WITH a rotax engine for half that.

Rules here are if its lighter then an ultralite you dont need pilots license or insurance, plane has to be checked for fligh readiness ( $60 1 time fee )

  • Is this classified experimental or ultralight?

  • Autogiro kits can be bought for 8,000 usd but you still have to get an engine and put it together. Si the cheapest you could do is about 15,000$.

The thing about pilot error inducing oscillations is valid and very important which is why a fuselage with some fixed wing component will drastically increase stability and limit these effects.

  • @1lllllllll1 Nah. Tail plane design and thrust line are the key.

  • Well...was excited until I saw that pricetag! Not a lot of people have that kind of ca$h, me included. Still...very very nice looking gyro!!!

  • $125,000? Does it have heat, air conditioning, massage chairs and a mini bar?

  • @criticaboutvids Sterwardess "services" too.

  • @paullubliner It better at that price!

  • @criticaboutvids: YUP LOL!

  • ЭТО АВТОЖИР

  • This is the most beautifull girocopter what ever I see!!! Great!!! Congratulation!!!

  • @Gabiseven1 well, gyrocopter MTO, german built, around 42,000 euro, u can compare it for ur self

  • 好东西~~~~

  • It looks great! :)

  • ...ah..."Little Nellie II," in honor of "Little Nellie" from "You Only Live Twice."

  • Actually, very few autogyros or gyrocopters qualify as ultralights, as they weigh more than 254 lbs empty. Most are registered as experimental aircraft, have an "'N" registration number, and require a pilot's license to fly. There are a few that can be flown as ultralight aircraft without a license, but anyone who would try without training is a future organ-donor. The response to various attitudes in a gyro require different reflexes than in a fixed-wing aircraft.

  • I have a dumb question. First of all,I don't know anything about Gyrocopters/Autgyros BUT,they look relatively safe to fly,not overly complicated to learn how to fly,and I'm sure the price tag on one of these (Not necessarily this one in the video) is not all too bad.My question is..........why don't we see these flying on an everyday basis? I live not too far from Mercer airport in NJ,and N.E. Airport in Phila..I've never seen one of these flying.I'm always looking up and admiring aircraft.

  • @demmylowther That's not a dumb question. Autogyros almost always qualify as ultralight aircraft. It's expensive and complicated to fly out of airports. Most Ultralight pilots fly out of private/small airfields or if there's a big field in their backyard...

  • @demmylowther well the reason is these cost more than a house, ppl are stuggling to buy a house let alone an aircraft. remember 1%of the population owns 90% of the wealth.

  • @omgitsaghiles Yeah,I understand that, especially in today's uncertain economy. But when you say these things cost more then a house. What size house,or cost are we talking about ? $200,000.00?I've seen some really low budget looking autogyros on Utube,Actually, the one labeled "Flying motorcycle" doesn't look to be all that expensive? I'm just curious.

  • @omgitsaghiles Because they thought up ways to acquire it.

  • @paullubliner thats isn't the point

  • @omgitsaghiles Yes, it is the entire point. To sell anything, you must fully understand your market.

  • @demmylowther In terms of aircraft, they're about the safest. (assuming you don't just do something stupid like nosedive or fly into a tree or powerline...). They can still land safely with a failed/shutoff engine (some ultralights have a parachute as well).

  • @wildbill6976

That's not necessarily true. Gyrocopters are prone to pilot induced oscillations...which never ever ends well when it comes to a rotor.

  • @bnther36 is PIO such an issue with tractor style gyroplanes? It has been my understanding that the original tractor style gyroplane invented in Spain, then licensed to Pitcairn, did not have this issue.

  • @DDDDanDDDD

You make a valid point. I'm not sure if the tractor styled gyro-birds have the same issues or not. I've seen some REALLY old footage of tractor birds -- complete with 4 blades instead of two. Interesting concept. I'd have talk to someone who actually flies one to know for sure.

  • @bnther36 Those had almost fixed rotors, limited teetering capabilities.

  • @DDDDanDDDD: PIO has in most modern designs been as eliminated as it was reduced with the tractor variants with large tail surfaces. Same solution; large horizontal tail surface, multiple rudder and readdressed line of thrust.

  • @demmylowther: Because you need pilot's skills to fly and to be perfectly frank, most people lack those and many that do have them are too frightened to fly for themselves. Pilots are still a breed apart!

  • I would love to see some specs on this copter, like weight, range and top speeds. Thanks James

  • WOW! 8-)

  • wow that looks awesome!

  • nice

  • @crazyivan030983 but a helicopter costs maybe 5x as much to run and maintain. And the Arrow isn't a kit.

  • i would like to see 1 with electric and the center roter as a genrator.

  • Says "coming soon" any idea's on when. Looks like the best sportscopter to me at the moment. dave

  • cruise speed ???

  • Loocs cool;)

  • how much costs it, nd how far can ppl fly with it?

  • @BacheKhala It's about $125,000 USD and seats 2 people.. I can't see them selling like hot cakes.

  • better I buy some cakes, lol

  • @texNoz mosquito is a true helicopter and costs only 28 thousands per kit :)

  • @texNoz Especially when the FAA Regulations MANDATE that the gyro must be in KIT form. No factory ready gyros are permitted to the general public in the U.S.

  • @tcooperent Not sure why you think that - the Sparrowhawk 2 is a ready to fly Gyrocopter and has been available for some time.

  • @chazndave So far, it is the only info I have been able to locate on regualations on gyroplanes. #2. The sales rep with Magni Gyro for the U.S. told me the same thing. Magni also shocked me with their sales contract. When their kit is half complete, it must be inspected by Magni official. When it is complete, it must be inspected again by Magni and test flown for first 300 (300)) hours by Magni rep.All lodging and transportation to and from your home must be paid by customer. Wow!!!!!!

  • @texNoz Especially when the FAA Regulations state the NO FACTORY READY GYROCOPTERS will be certified. Must be purchased in kit form and done as "experimental".

  • @texNoz It's a start....we'll get there soon. Just let me finish college hold on, sit tight.

  • @texNoz 125grand is cheap for a helicopter

  • @billymays1325 yeah, but helicopters can hover, so...

  • @texNoz well thats the same thing when the first car came out....and look at the world now

  • @texNoz i can a 162 cost 200,000

  • GyroAshleyV

This is the best looking gyro on the market today. There is not a single gyro that can come close to the looks and dynamics of this beautiful bird. I will definitely be buying one to fly here in South Africa as soon as it becomes available. This is the most beautiful looking and performing gyro.

  • I want one. thanks for sharing. I will follow you closly.

  • finally after 90 years there is a gyrocopter that is looking nice, streamlined... strong en made of composites... nice job.

more movies would be welcome, inside and close ups

  • me too....me too....me too.....ohhhhhhh

  • I want...I want...I want.....ahhhhhhh
