Converge reinvents itself on every album. I freakin' adore the thrashy-ness of Axe to Fall, and it contrasts so nicely with their slower, sludgier albums like You Fail Me. Converge is legendary.

I listened to some hatebreed songs after I heard this and read Martin was an additional guitarist to this song, and I found all the songs from his previous band as dull as nu metal, is there any actual song where Matin plays any solos at all, anyone?

There are a few exceptions, but for the most part they play in one way on every song. The vocals from this band are a joke. He can barely even scream. Listen to Howard Jones from KSE. Now that man can sing. When I say sing, I mean sing, scream, chant, and yell. He's a certified badass.

All of the bands are focusing so hard on their image of being 'hardcore" that they lose sight of the music. The genre in general lacks musicallity, and I think most educated musicians would agree with me. That in turn makes it boring to listen to.
