I just got back from the event...picked up 2 treasure hunts and the entire 7 Kmart exclusives

I'm going to attend tomorrow's event with my son. I have two Kmart's close to me. Any advice on how to decide which one to go to?

@TravisRidley1 I would call or visit each store today and talk to the manager to see how they run their event, how many cases they usually get, and how many collectors. I would especially have them check to make sure that they still have the cases for tomorrow and that nobody got to them already. Search my videos for KMart Tips video as well.

@TravisRidley1 You're welcome! Take the family so that each of you can get a ticket. That will increase your chances at getting called. If there is a car in your box with a green stripe on the side and it says Treasure Hunt on the bottom-front of the package, you will probably want to buy that one... Good luck and have fun =)

As of July and August 2011, I see Walmart, Toys R Us, and Target selling HWs for $1.07, $1.10 and don't tell me its because of the recession.

I do remember KB Toys selling HWs for $1.29 during the late '90s until they closed out.

@eldo59 About 2-3 months ago, Mattel announced that Hot Wheels would be priced at about $1.09 from now on. It has more to do with China wanting it's workers to be paid more. I remember KB's $1.29 prices. They were often Buy Two, Get One Free so it still wound up around the same price as regular stores.

@unmarkedtrails I like to sleep in as well since I work overnight but since this location was supposed to be one of only 30 nationwide with track sets and the BF5 preview, I knew it would be good for YouTube fodder :) What I didn't say in the video is that she showed up 20 minutes late and I was the one who helped her quickly set up the Criss Cross Crash. She didn't even set up the downhill track and as I mentioned, didn't have the BF5 DVD. The donuts were delicious though :)

Yeah my firebirds tampo is messed up I only realized it after I got home. There were a lot of exclusives left over at my even that the ebayers scooped up. Me nd my giirly only took one of each of the exclusive colors. I'm glad they got rid of thoes spinning thing at my targets, back to good old pegs now.

@z1546796 IMHO, with eBay fees, it ain't worth the time to flip them. As for your bad tampo's, you can always pick another one and return it. I'm passing on the Flamed Firebird because I have enough other Firebirds and models with flames. I never got to see the Target spinners in person so it was very cool to see them in person! I think SMUtoys posted a video of it in a store.

@123456hotwheels I was getting a bit frustrated that I hadn't found it yet but I knew with it being a basic Track Star, that it should be in the mixes for a few months. Not only that but many collectors stick to First Editions/New Models. I'm sure you'll find one!
