If you look at the reseearch done on "news" not commentatry media bias FOX is colser to the center than MSNBC, CNN, Headline News, and ABC. UCLA, UCSB, and the US World News all published papers on it. UCBS's is called "A measure of media bias", check out pages 58 and 62. I'm confused at to what part of FOX your calling news, because Hannity, Glen Beck and O'Reilly are clearly opinion commentators, and they all openly admit it, unlike Rachel MAddow and Keith Olbermann.

UCSB wrote a technical paper on media bias and it won't come as a huge surprise that MSNBC is just as biased as FOX, with the caviot that out of the 22 some odd outlets, 3 were biased towards the right 19 to the left. Exactly. I can remember during the first gulf war when CNN was the only game in town. Their reporting was so skewed to the left that watching it just pissed me off. tovasdad, My point is the policy complaints are trivial relative to the problem at hand. Ron Paul has never followed up with ANY suggestion that he is aware of the global plague of Islamic Fascism or stated his intent to fight back. He continually asserts all will be well if we "trade" with them. It is not unfair to conclude that his foreign policy is entirely aligned with the goals of the Islamic Fascists.
Moreover, Muslims have been "interfering" with "Kafir" nations for 1,400+ years.

Ron Paul never suggested anything was our fault, as in the American people. The neo-cons that hijacked our foreign policy are to blame. Go read the 911 commission report and research what the CIA had to say about reasons for Islamic Fascism/terrorism/insert more war propaganda bullshit. Religious fundamentalism is not the driving force behind Islamic terrorism, it is the our failed foreign policy and our intelligence tells us that.

Selectively plucking out tidbits of "CIA reports" as your guide, whilst suggesting they are the reason for all our problems -- as Paul'ers typically do -- is just plain silly. Consider listening to Muslims other than those who are your Jihadist friends -- those guiding Paul's policy.

Muslim means "peaceful submission to God," the faith forbids suicide and murder, which are considered mortal sins. The Quran, the holy book of Islam, outlines strict rules for combat. Violence is only permitted when one's home, family, property, land or religion are threatened, and this violence must happen only in a defensive manner.

Jihad means "the struggle in the path of Islam," a Jihad must follow the dictates of the Quran just like any sort of violent act. Extremists distort the ways of Islam to justify attacks on innocents and countries that they perceive threaten the Islamic world. "To kill one person is to kill all of mankind. Whomever did this is an enemy to Islam because they are so against what we stand for".

With that said, which by the way is from a Muslims point of view, you can clearly see how ill-informed you are on the subject. You also say jihad like it's a bad thing but Muslims speak of a greater jihad and a lesser jihad. The greater jihad is a personal struggle or quest to always act according to the ideals of Islam. It refers to monitoring one's personal behavior and habits, displaying the moderation and tolerance advocated by Islam, etc. This is the more important jihad.

Lesser jihad is a quest to encourage the ideals of Islam outside of one's own self. This can involve raising awareness about Islam, defending it against any attack or threat (Osama bin Laden is a threat to proper Islam). Now you know some real truth outside a narrow minded FAUX NEWS point of view you may feel outraged and start attacking me faux news style with lies, misinformation, bias opinions, fascist beliefs, and insults.

Muslim means "exterminate all life within your grasp to the tune of god-is-marvelous", evidently. The Koran, the Muslim war manual, outlines rules of engagement. Islam forbids separation of church and state, and forbids peace as long as non-Mulsims (Kafir) exist.
Proselytize to your mother, because here in the real world we observe Muslim bloodlust across the globe almost daily.
