  • i see this as an earlier tom and jerry "baby puss" because the cat dresses up in diapers and baby bonnet and the mouse still messes with him.

  • @KrazyKartoonKid - nothing it's just that the quality of terrytoons is similar to the work of Columbia who made this toon

  • this is almost like a spin off what we see later as Tom n Jerry cartoons later

  • nice,but waaay too terrytoons-ish.like heckle and

    jeckle but sans the magpies.

  • @morganallenchapman what's wrong with terrytoons?

  • I really love this but where's the rest of the cartoon? Where did you find this footage? Can I buy this cartoon on DVD?

  • That's just like almost everyone else on YouTube who posts something good here. They just give you part of it and you ain't getting nothing else. That blows...

  • excerpts are no fair. not the same as full cartoons

  • All the delightful violence of Tom & Jerry plus dialogue!

And yet I'm not laughing. Still, it's very interesting to see.

  • yer is gd 2 watch but the mouse never gets hurt so u feel sorri for the cat insted of finding it funny

  • Pretty well made ...like most cartoons from it's era, but damn, what a stupid idea. What kind of super hero dresses up like a baby?

  • I think it was meant to be a spoof about superheroes who go in their 'underwear' outside their suits or something. I had the assumption that was what was being spoofed here.

  • I thought that too, but it's too loose a gag IMO.

  • This was wonderful to see. So much of this has been "lost" for so long. Even if the plot isn't much, the animation is fine, and the spirit is enthusiastic.

    Thank you!

  • Blueprints are not funny, as the old cartoon adage goes. Maybe if they'd made a second "Supercat" it might have been a laugh riot.

  • He dressed. Like a baby.

    ...

    This is just plain disturbing.

  • Thanks Cartoonbrew!

  • Why won't the rights-holder release these damn things on DVD or something? They're beautiful cartoons! It's been over 40 years since a local TV station showed Columbia animated shorts, and that's the last time I saw 'em. Li'l Abner, Shemlock Sholmes, etc...
