Michael Jackson got alot of his moves from James Brown, Jackie Wilson, and one of the band members from the Shalamar who use to dance on Soul Train back in the 70's. I'm pretty sure MJ got alot of those dance moves from the Soul Train dancers like Re-Run and Ozone with the pop locking. Just look up Soul Train from the 70's and yall will be suprise!

I don't get how people can compare JT to Usher. Clearly Usher is better overall. Justin is obviously choreographed and his vocal is mediocre. While Usher is no Marvin Gay, his voice is more versatile than Justin. I've been watching Usher dance since his very first single, "Can you get with it", and I knew he was special. I think what you meant was the use of back up dancers in their routines... and yes to my knowledge he was the one to make that popular. Its the same trick some women use. Some women stand next to girls not as pretty as they are in clubs for example, so they appear to look better. That is what MJ did to boost his image, and just like the other example, it works.
