  • TERRIFIC BRUCIE..................

  • i like that one better than the studio version but nothing beats the live version from '78....

  • still like the original studio version!

  • It's a shame that this 3CD BOX is not for sale.

  • It's good but I prefer the original, it gets the emotion, the sadness and everything way better.

However, I like the fact that theres a guitar solo in this one, I wish the original had a slow, quiet solo...it would fit great!

  • Sin palabras. Son dos canciones totalmente distintas, la original y esta! Es el jefe!

  • 2:40 damn

  • great but too much fun

  • It wasn't fun life at all...point blank

  • I adore all of Bruce's outtakes! Fabulous stuff!

  • I don't agree. Very poor version of this magnificent song. Simply too fast. (POINT BLANK happens to be NOT A ROCK SONG!)

  • He has a rock version of evry non-rock song he has and a non-rock version of evry song he has. (okay maybe not every song he has but u get my point.

  • check out the blues version of born in the usa.

  • This is a great and beautiful surprise. Bruce tried so hard to channel all the passion. This is fantastic, and the released version is sublime. Thanx for uploading this marvel.

  • amazing version,i almost prefer this one

  • Happy birthday! Him today, 60 years!

  • beautiful version!

    thanks for sharing!

    BRUCE4EVER

  • the more outtakes I hear, the more I'm looking forward to 'Tracks 2' - will he ever release it???

  • Amazing !

  • Nice version, but the released version is better. With the great piano into from Roy Bittan... this vesrion has too much la lal leis....

  • Roy Bittan makes every song he plays on. Of course, Bruce's vocals and musical sensibilities are great too.

  • Hmmmmm...

  • Glockenspiel is brilliant

  • It certainly is. Leave it to Bruce and the E-Street Band to put the glockenspiel in a rock setting and make it work so magically well.

  • Love this version. A Tear Must Fall is a superb outtake album.

  • Absolutely - that '78 version is killer!

  • I actually like this version better than the "real" one. I'm a bad fan.

  • Interesting version, but nowhere near as powerful as the original IMHO.

  • one of the most touching songs ever. long life to rock songs.

  • This is amazing!!Love it

I think Point Blank is the best song of The River album

  • oh ya....post em all!

  • ok i think bruce and the boys stayed up all night and recorded all those "river" songs 10 different ways. even if the versions were not used, he explored all avenues to a lyric. not to mention a ripping guitar solo. bruce is a genius. also thanks to columbia records for giving bruce all that money to stay in the studio.

  • Nice version! Wher´s this track from?

  • "A Tear Must Fall - "Remastered" River Outtakes" bootleg. [Not For Sale though]"

  • The version on The River of Point Blank is the best version there is.Any live version over the years just never cut the mustard. And this one doesn't either.

  • I agree, I just wish the "The River" album track would have short intro to the song like it had on the River tour. It seems that it was just cut out.

  • listen to the live version from 1978 in passaic. that's the best version of that song

  • GREAT!
