@doremonhg im guessing your dual core is probably 3-4ghz, since black ops is such a shitty port and only utilizes 2 cores, and since crap ops uses such little GPU (roughly 30% normally for me), it doesn't matter how many cores you have, but the clock speed of each core, i cant even imagine how shitty mw3 will be, unoptimized, incomplete, non-dedicated, & 60 bucks with a monthly subscription fee, whew sounds enticing , ill think ill g o the way of BF3 which is built for pc, and ported to console

Well im a pc game and I own black ops. Im running on an i7 920 oc 4.2 and ati 5870 6 Gb 2000Mz ram and it runs very well. 150 fps full graphics although I turn em down so I get constant 125 fps. Black ops does have manys problems but I suppose its easyer to optimise a game for console than pc's. For me anyway the game is fine but I understand how it must be for people with lowers spec builds. Consoles are for kids or more simple people to put it polite. Pc's are for adults or more intellect peps

I agree with Hitler on this. PC gamers seem to be a dying race... its sad, cause the PC if you know enough is better then any console. Around 5ish years ago, I used to believe the PC port to games were superior to their console hack downs. Not anymore with this unoptimized code, and faulty programing errors. please tell me how a computer with brand new higher end parts (PII 965, and 5770) and a console thats 5 years old with lower stats, has the same fps at the same resolution?

@MMA3013 Most of the lag has been fixed. It's those that have Core 2 Duo processors that are still having trouble. However, Treyarch announced on their forums that they are working on a massive patch to fix that and many other issues, including the spawn algorithm.
Funny thing, I know a guy that pirated Black Ops PC, played it, then bought it off of steam when the patches were released, he is very happy with Black Ops at the moment...

Especially since Steam doesn't accept returns, no demo was released, people might not have payed $60 if they knew Black Ops wasn't going to run on their computer. As for me, I think this is the last Call of Duty I purchase. I only bought Black Ops because I was mad at IW, it so happened to run fine on my computer. As for PC gaming, at least Crysis 2 is coming, and indies (Mount&Blade) and MMOs will always be there...

you were right... UPDATES DID NOT FIX ANYTHING. they just fixed the low frame rate on dual core cpus a bit, but it is STILL LOW.

@TheScyphozoa why pc is better than consoles (at least for shooters): mouse + keyboard; unlimited bandwidth; better configuration. i'm not saying consoles suck, but they are for racing games or fighting games or sports games like fifa or nfl or arcade games and platformers etc. but games like fps's, rts's and complex rpg's should stay on the fucking PC !

Clans on consoles fail really bad. and your stupid because there is dedicated servers on black ops so there is no mods or hacks. and what there is no leaderboards on pc?check some websites.there are heaps for every game.
