I like Ancient Rites, Fen, Lifelover and Melechesh although they're not exactly black metal. Lunar Aurora, Shining and Temnozor are excellent. Recommend some good bm then Burzum747. Some bands for your consideration Clockwerk: Furia(Poland), Massemord(Poland), Imperium Dekadenz, Silencer, Mortifera, Peste Noire, Deathspell Omega, Blut Aus Nord, Antaeus, Funeral Mist, Spektr, Anaal Nathrakh, Akercocke, Paysage D'Hiver, Darkspace, V.E.G.A., Mortuary Drape, Necromantia, Ruins Of Beverast, Vrolok.

Finally someone who is appreciating the development of black metal since its emergence. I love the black metal of the 1990s, but I also think its time to accept that black metal would be dying if every band would play the same kind of music. Why can't listeners just accept the dark metal/melodic black metal scene? Is it so hard to scale off from the good, old times?

That's because BM had to evolve...now BM turns to paganism, Folk and National Sotialism in the best of the cases, europe has plenty of good bands and I think it is stupid to just get stuck in the true norwegian former black metal, turn to the slavs, the nordics and in generall all europe seems conected now, music has its propper meaning and purpose now anyway it has to be kept in the underground, far away from american garbage

Yeah, your'e right there are NO Black Metal bands in the US, and just because we aren't unwashed europeans with rotting teeth, we know NOTHING about this music at all.
