if anyone could help me out or have a suggestion i have a 95 5.0 gt and i want to do some upgrades but dont have too much money it already has upper and lower typhoon intake cold air wich isent much what could i do for for around 800 bucks what i could actually notice engine wise

@kylebelpasso87 GT40 Heads is a nice inexpensive upgrade

@Andyman395 GT40's are cheap but will only bolt on 20-30 hp. I guess best bang for the buck though. But if you get explorer GT40P heads you will have to buy new headers too. $100 in gaskets, $300 for GT40P's and $200 for headers and you are into used trickflow territory and the trickflows will bolt on 50hp or more and you can use the factory exhaust untill you can buy some better headers.

I have gt40p's on my car and wish i would have just bought a set of used aluminum trickflows to start

@tennistud33 lol you don't need to school me on heads, that car got a set of new Trickflows as soon as i got it.

@kylebelpasso87 GT40's are garbage, get a used set of TF heads, and a TFS 2 cam, and actually learn how to set your idle correctly on these cars ;-)

I'm doing the H/C/I upgrade as well. I have a custom grind cam with tfs2 specs. So without a tune this is what i should expect? Did you do any adjustments to the tps or iac and reset the base idle? What was your timing set to?

somthing not right yet man maybe timing i have the same 5.0 motor and cam combo tfs 2 keep working and good luck

and to the comments below...94/95 computers are said to be picky and do not take well to mods such as hci swap. tuning is usually a must with these years.

my cousin has a stock fox computer and hes making 545 rwhp on the dyno. with no nos. so you just need to find someone repitable to tune a car cause even with a stock comp u can make numbers.

Yes it does. The car is set up for a Kenne Bell with 8.5:1 compression. It has Trickflow heads, Cam, and a polished GT40 upper and Lower. Once i get the Kenne Bell ill get a tune on it. Those computers are better than the Fox ones once they have a tune.
