  • hi I have a siberian husky who bites always! i tried what you did in the video but he just come and bite me back in my mouth ... i dont know what to do ! i dont want to hit him

  • @banygirlaa that only works if they are a little puppy how old is he??

  • tryed that on my 6 week old lab puppy yeah that turned him from trying to bite my hand to trying to bite my face

  • how about if the dog just snaps at your face? lol

  • I felt compelled to respond to this video. I have watched video after video on Youtube regarding training my 9 week old Brittany Spaniel to stop biting. I tried every method without success until I came across this video of yours. Your method is simply brilliant. I gave it a crack for a day or so & BANG! it worked. OK she still has a bit of a go every now and then however, a growl & showing of teeth reinforces who's boss. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I am now a subscriber of yours for life.

  • thankyou so much for making this video!!! i just got my 7 week old puppy from a friend who's dog had puppies, and he like to rough play with his dogs all the time, so in the 5 weeks before i could take the puppy home he would start rough playing with her, and now she bites my hands and arms and snaps at my face, i tried giving her a very light smack on the nose but it didn't work, and i felt horrible for doing it. i will try this method instead!

  • Yes i can. But im commenting this on an ipod. My base computer is broken at the moment. Any way i could email you the video when i get my computer back?

  • Hii i dont mean to bother you. But i have a new puppy. Hes 5 months and horrible. very agressive, always bites.and makes me bleed. i tried what you said in the video he bit mein the face.first dog is the familys. this one is MY responsibility. My Parents are on their last nerve and said that if i dont get him under control i have to give him back. id be devestated if that happened. But i cant afford lessons for him. Any suggestions? i realy need some help

  • @woahvictoriaxo oh dear, that is only for young puppys at 5 months you need to start the serious obedience training, can you make a video of him??

  • @panzertoo Please, reply if i don't bother you.

I am 13 years old. I have a cocker spaniel puppy. She is almost 3 months old. I love her very much. But sometimes she is very aggressive, bites me and makes me bleed. Sometimes she is very cute, sweet and licks me. She never behaves herself like this with mom or my older sister. She is always nice to her. Well sometimes aggressive, but it happens once a week. Why? :(

  • @iLoveVote4You can you make a video of her doing it?

  • @woahvictoriaxo Sounds like mine. :(

  • how come my puppy isnt like that..... every time i do theses Youtube tricks..... the videos of puppies... always looks like the puppy was already trained !!!!!.... you should show how to do it... when puppy isnt doing it.... not like : put treat over his nose...... then... BRAVO......... show when you put treat over his nose and puppy doesnt sit.... ( WHAT TO DO )....

  • I'm getting a jack Russel pup soon...labour day weekend. I know how to potty train, but any advice on hyperactivity?? just in case.I'm getting her from calm jacks.

  • @aidanashton yes start with the crate training right away and start using treats for basic commands

  • @panzertoo New york is freezing I don`t know how you guys live up there... Ha! You should try coming to England...

  • @aidanashton NO DONT GET A JACK RUSSEL there monsters they are difficult to train

  • Great help thanks! Just bought today a cute little girl pup. Black labrador cross Border Collie. She has really sharp teeth and when we play tug wars on her rope she sometimes happens to nip my hand as i go grab the rope but i then lower my voice and she licks me in a "sorryfull" manner. Is that ok way to get them to not nip you or try and Bite play?

  • @MMVTW its not a good idea to play tug it sends the wrong message in a dogs world the only ones who engage in tug are peers and they inevitably try to gain hierarchy over their peers high ranking individuals do not engage in tug. We will try and do a video next week about it

  • I played with a pup at a store and I initiated play and it started nipping oopsie

  • no all dogs bite when there puppies It's not our fault its normal

  • Great insight into the puppy's world! Thanks for the great video.

  • How do you teach dogs not to destroy things?

  • op ty so much for this knowledge!!!

it makes so much sense to have them "learn" first before commands

    god bless

  • so next time when he bites, i'll bark..oh great..! xD

  • And it didn't work

  • I want to fix this in a human way...! please!

  • Comment removed

  • I am going to try this I hope it works I have had tried so many things, my old dog trainer just said say ouch everytime the dog bites but it encourages my dog so I hope this works

  • thanks you gave me a lot of help with my dog hershey

  • puppies are supposed to mouth

  • I love this woman.

  • Very informative

  • my 8 week old pomeranian keeps trying to bit everyone. He's very very active when he wants to play. He'll be running around and when he sees me or my brother, he tries to eat our pants, shirts, shoes, socks, hands and feet (basically anything that comes into contact with him). I've tried the yelp and ignore. I've tried making louder noises and putting it back in his pen. Nothing seems to work. I know that at this age they are teething but dude, it scares us sometimes and I'm 23.

  • Oooooh! I'll so try this right away....although I might look stupid to my family :P!! Thanks so much.....no other technique works for my collie mix :S!! He's a smart ass but biting is his major flaw :S!

  • oh wow... it actually worked, i hav a pitbull/german shepherd puppy... and this actually WORKED o -o

  • @kazo420

10 year olds like you should not own pit's. You are the reason that many people want to make pitbulls illegal.

There should be a iq test and an age requrement for pitbulls.. Just like a firearm.

    Thumbs up if you agree.

  • What kind of dog is that? Golden retriever? We just got a puppy from the humane society and he was listed as a Lab Mix. At first we thought he was a Labrador Retriever but now that i look at him i'm starting to think he is mixed with a Pitt. I've looked at pics online of Labrador Retrievers and his ears don't match theirs at all. If i gave you my e-mail address and sent you a pic of him would you be able to help me out? Thanks

  • @PrinceOftheCty its a lab i think. he looks like my boy when he was a puppy (now he's 2.5 and HUGE lol)

  • Do you have any tips on how to stop or teach puppies not to bite eachother?

  • I just have to THANK YOU. this is my first puppy and biting was a HUGE problem. after doing this ONCE she has stopped biting my hands at playtime. thanks so much :D

  • OMG it works! It's awesome!

  • Excellent video, lots of good information. Thank you!

  • I like this information, puppy training is easy just learn the right way

    wooffee.com

  • @kazo420 How about a poorly bred pitbull...my 10 amstaffs are fine with it. Take him by the neck if he's under 6 months and bite his muzzle and growl. You have to be in control, it has nothing to do with him being a "pitbull" it's your poor ownership and probably bad breeding, no offense. Pits aren't naturally human aggressive. Shoot, I got attacked by a lab a couple months ago

  • @kazo420 your going to have big problems with this dog

  • I have a 10 month old staffy x jack russel he is great with people anyone he meets he licks and plays with (just go over the teething) but he does not seem to like other dogs, he either whimpers and growls or ignores them, should I try to socialize him through screen doors first?

  • @GrrrANTcore no if you ad a barrier like screen door it changes the whole dynamic. they usually do that because the are afraid, try to find some nice mellow older dogs for him to be around so he can start ti gain social skills and confidence

  • @panzertoo thank you so much for your help :) !!!!!!!!

  • @panzertoo why don't you try making a video and send it to me!

  • interesting.. now how do u get em to stay?

  • @WickedOne2Three we don;t add stay until much later, getting them to come to you is the most important thing!

  • Wow, I feel like an absolute idiot growling, showing my teeth, and hope I never have to do it in front of people, but it really works! My samoyed is eight and a half weeks old and he's been nippy since I brought him home last week. Cheers.

  • Hi, wondering if you could give me a lil advice... My puppy is a labradoodle and is 3 months old and he is really cocky! We have socialised him alot and we go walking with 3 other dogs but seems to be quite cocky with them. He is easy to train so thought you could help with this. Also, he never has any calm time with me and my boyfriend, he just plays and bites all the time, is this because of what you said on your video? That he sees us as more playing people, rather than chilled out? Thanks xx

  • pretty good techniques

  • thanks for help my 9week spaniel can sit fetch and potty trained

  • The best aversion to biting, nipping and snapping is to smack him on the muzzle.

  • hi i have a labrador . when i play with her she would run around here and there and then with lighting speed she would attack my foot with her teeth and then leave it . and sometimes she doesn't leave it till i move my leg .

  • my 8 week german shepherd will not stop biteing me , she wont stop. is it that shes so young and its a stage? i tell her no and i do the yelping noise but she isnt helping. please i need help

  • @jrich23own you must get treats and start working with her to redirect her,we are going to make a video later today

  • @jrich23own yeah it;s normal cos it;s teething process. just give it a high pitch yelp when it play bites u. Also, wear a glove when playing with him and that will soften the biting.

This happens to me too currently and my pup is almost 3 month old soon..

  • @jrich23own (1 of 2) If she does not stop when you're yelping, it is because she thinks you're her new squeaky toy, and that it is actually quite fun that she can get you to say that funny sound. What you do is this: When the puppy bites and it hurts: Yelp. When she doesn't stop, tell her in a calm but firm voice that's she's an idiot. Then get up immediately and leave her alone in the room for 30 seconds. Then come back and tell to come and sit.

  • @jrich23own (2 of 2) What you have done is to tell the puppy that hurting someone ends the play session, and that the yelp is the signal that playing will stop if she doesn't quit.

  • @jrich23own did you sort the shepherd out i have a staff and he keeps biteing everyone that comes in the house

  • @jrich23own watch ceaser millan!

  • Thanks so much for all of your tips! I have a 3 month old Siberian Husky who is constantly biting and mouthing ... And not just when we go to pet her.

  • hi i have tried all the ways to prevent bite but my labrador puppy becomes more agressive by using this way plz help me wid proper way

  • I want to get a cage to keep my 3 months old puppy inside thte house but my mom tells me i cant because the puppy will start chewing everything he finds what can i do :(?P

  • @capufo yes get the crate!!! ,we will try to make a video for you about crate training!!

  • @panzertoo i got him the crate now the problem is getting him inside of it, he wants to stay outside playing and sleeping with the others :(

  • My dog Kodi is a 1 year old chihuahua terrier mix that we found wandering the streets about 3 weeks ago. (We took him to the vet and all that.) He doesn't bite if you stick your hand in front of his face (he just gives kisses), but when he's really excited and playing he'll mouth at you and earlier today he nicked my hand why I had his ball. I immediately stopped and told him playtime was over and I ignored him for 5 minutes. He didn't try mouthing me after that. Is that an effective method?

  • @BrOkEnEnGliSh13 yeah it is..that would teach him game was over every time u bit.

  • we have a 5 mth ols puppy and my husband keeps betting him whenever he bits anything. i really am a animal lover but my husband is not. so so do i get my puppy to stop biting things so that he has a furture.

  • you are the best. thank you!

  • I have done the growling and yelping and it worked for about 2 days. My poodle14wk poodle puppy is out of control. I've had 9 dogs in 50 yrs and never one like this. She NEVER stops biting me or anthing near her mouth. I try to talk sweet to her or kiss her and she draws blood. Help!!!!!!!!!!

  • you must look at the big pictiure.are you inadvertantly doing things to make her think dhes in charge? tugging with toys? are you crate training her?

  • She has been good on going out on the balcony to go potty from day one. This biting started 3 weeks ago and has progressed to constant. I try and distract her with a biscut or toy and she prefers my fingers. Her demon dog growl shocks people. She freaks out when I put the halter on her. She just goes from one thing to the next and chews. Getting mad, saying no, saying no sweetly, growling, yelping, make noise with paper, may stop her for one second and then she's on the attack again. Help

  • the distracing thing almost rewards the behavior, you have got to do the crate training mpt just for housebreaking but so she sees its your house not hers, use tiny treats and start teaching her some basics

  • Thank you! I have a 8 week old male JRT that bites only me. He is very dominant and independent. To others he is submissive, tail wags and gives kisses. I am guilty of giving too much affection, and probably at the wrong times, Any other pointers?

  • we will have some new puppy videos soon! just start working with the treats for now and definetly do not do any tug o war !

  • Thanks again. I look forward to the puppy training videos.

  • A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!

the only advice that worked for my lab puppy!!! He learned not to bite my feet in 10 minutes and I was struggling for a week now :). One bark and he's off me :D

  • So, thank you very much! :)

  • that was really helpful :) and the puppy is soooooo cute:) huggssssss

  • wow what a video thanks this info is so valuable
