I was at this gig as well ... a great show, and superior to the following night's performance. The crowd here was cool as well ... listen for the hoarse guy yelling "Joe!" ...
Thanks for this! I saw him in Boston around the same time, and it was amazing! I've been looking for a recording of this reworked version of "It's Different for Girls". I love the new chords, and the pause. Thanks!
I was at this show. It was pretty good. He played quite a bit of brand new stuff. I also saw The Joe Jackson Band about a year prior in Toronto and that absolutely blew me away. Amazing artist.
Joe Jackson is such a great musician. You should also read his book. Joe Jackson: A Cure for Gravity (A musical pilgrimage). What a fantastic book. This is one person that I wish would live forever and just keep making music.
I was at this show too, the debut of the Joe Jackson Trio with no guitar...was pretty good indeed. This was my 4th time seeing Joe and it won't be my last!!
Ah, thanks for this. I managed to see him at the Empire theater in London back in July and loved this section as it includes one of my most favorite songs ever. This vid brings back great memories of a great night.
was pouring down the rain. I think we were the only customers. It was dark and candlelit and who comes in drenched but Joe Jackson and his very exotic looking friend. They sat in another room. I couldn't bring myself to act like a rabid fan, I just savored the moment. As I left I looked through an ancient candlelit window blurry with rain and saw him looking at me with a halfway smile. So that was a nice rememberance. I'm a fan from Look Sharp.
It was a magical evening, what I remember. I bumped into Joe once in the Marais in Paris. My wife and I and her girlfriend were in an ancient pub/restaraunt and it
Joe Was great the audience including my girlfriend was horrible

Thanks for the video! Did you all know that Squeeze, from the same genre and era, is going to be touring North America in the Summer of 2007?
