@wipeout4wh I'm with you. Sadly he broke the law coz he didn't "obey an order from a police-officer" All B.S. but it'll be a fine and a mis-demeanor record but happily not a felony.
I love how many people try to claim that he is breaking no law because laws aren't real or some gay shit like that...but if the updraft had pushed him into a minivan and caused soccer mom to drive off the bridge killing her 2 yr old, 8 yrs. old, and 13 yrs old kids those same people would be the ones crying that someone should have kept him from killing those poor people...f'n hippies get a clue.

Yes YOUR RIGHTS have taken away as u claim MORE AND MORE , thats because STUPID acts are costing every government so much money when THOSE ACTS go stupidly wrong. WHO pays for his bills when he becomes unable to function in the community because he/she can not walk or move?: tax payers do..ah another thing putting law enforcement n emergency services in danger: IS NOT KEWL!...MY OPINION JUST LIKE YOURS,
Hell people cant even explain thier story in court cause the stupid judge wont listen and shut them down even though the states attorney or whoever will tell you to tell the judge and when you try BAM in jail or f'd somehow!!! its just all bs
I just read all comments here and yeah it took a min but i would like to say yeah its kinda dumb to do something so dangerous but in the end i believe we as people have the right to do what we want as long as it dont harm anyone else PERIOD!! Our f'n right's have been takin away from us more and more as the years go by and I am f'n tired of it!!
Again...What Law has be broke..Acts and codes are not LAW. They are legislative "rules " of society given the "force " of Law through consent...There are only three ways you can break the law. That is to cause Loss cause harm or enter into fraudulent contracts...Everything else is and "Act" or "code" which is not law.....I await your response..
@TheMrzehcnas the way you know he wanted to see him jump, he didn't try to pull him down when he went for the hand shake xD he was like i don't want to shake yo hand! and then bam he gone down that gulley!
@TheMrzehcnas I'm thinking you're right. If the cop had touched him he would have been under arrest. The jumper definitely made it clear he was going to jump even under threat of arrest.
@premierweddingfilms I am not sure you know what breaking the law means....just because it doesn't cause harm or loss doesn't mean there isn't a law against it. Driving 40 MPH on a highway that has a posted minimum speed of 45 MPH doesn't cause harm or loss either but is still against the law.

@nomad202 City property is not private. There's a big difference between the two. We all own public property because we are all pay for it by force through taxation.
@yinzjagoffs If you don't like being "forced" to pay taxes then move to Uganda or Iraq or Afgahnistan and you wont be "forced" to pay taxes...last I checked no one is forcing anyone to live in a country that has taxation laws, its your option to stay rather than leave...so STFU or GTFO...that simple.
@Zenshu1 Taxation happens anytime someone takes the fruits of your labor by force. All those places still have taxation. There is nowhere on earth that not set up as a tax farm, it really is that simple. The best any peace loving person can do is stand up and speak out against all the wars that are funded by the fuel of taxation and realize taxation is war on all of us. We need to take the next step and work towards finally become a fully civilized society. We are half way there.
"Few people understand the psychology of dealing with a highway traffic cop... Your normal speeder will panic and immediately pull over to the side... This is wrong... It arouses contempt in the cop-heart... Make the bastard chase you... He will follow..."
this had 3000 views when I last saw it a few months ago. Glad he's at least getting some publicity for all the shit I could imagine he got into afterwards
@nalyDmI The simple answer is wherever he is there is probably a law on the books against base jumping from certain places...like there is no law against base jumping in New York but it is against the law to Base jump in the city causing disruption to traffic. and since he was an a bridge it was probably a law against using bridges for base jumping just like places have laws against fishing off of bridges to avoid disruption of traffic.
@pleb105 He's in a public area where if he were to die, people would see it. He would be responsible for the sanity of those who might possibly see him die, if he were to die.
It amazes to see so many comment about "fuck police" and so on when the Officer in the video was really nice while doing his duty.
'cause you see guys, jump from a bridge is awesome and everything you want, but if it was legal, everybody would try it. And well, that would make a lot of accidents.
@Duron13 it's victimless. controlling, enslaving, authoritative, totalitarian regime isn't so exciting to experience in united states or any other country
@mizerydearia It was victimless that time. Give people the right to do anything and there will be lots and lots of accidents. Also, that Officer didn't make the laws, he's a man who's there to be sure that people follow the laws.
Jumping from a bridge is dangerous, it is illegal, he does his job and he isn't even a dick about it.
So, a part of me want to say "fuck you" at all the people who says "fuck the police" but I'll try to be more mature.
@Duron13 and apart from ridiculously remote circumstances, the only person who'll be hurt in those accidents are the people who do the act. If people choose to hurt themselves or put themselves at risk, that's their choice. I wouldn't say 'fuck the police', at least not based on the actions of this officer, but I can see how such laws are held in contempt.
@DLedgerUK The thing is, I do believe too much freedom is bad thing, and if people are dumb enough to hurt themselves because they want to have fun then it's a good thing that Government try to stop them by making laws. You may lose some freedom but you gain security.
For example, you can't go at any speed you want with your car. Not fun. But safer.
@Duron13 You can go any speed you want. Just go to a drag strip, a circuit or a salt flat.
The reason it's illegal to speed on the road is that it's dangerous to others. Speeding means you can't react quickly enough to prevent an accident which would injure others. It means you're more likely to lose control and hit other road users or pedestrians.
There would be a hell of a lot more laws if it was the law's job to protect people from themselves.
@DLedgerUK If you want to do skydiving you can do it legally.
Skydiving from a bridge, and especially with a stunt like this is more likely to go wrong. What if the wires get tangled ? What if the wind push him straight to the rocks ? Etc.
There is already a lot of laws to prevent people to harm themselves.
@DLedgerUK going off of that point of view then there should be no legal speed limit for motorcycles and people should be allowed to race through downtown cities at 180mph on a litre bike because all but rare circumstances the only one getting hurt would be the rider.
@Zenshu1 Motorcycles are just as likely to cause someone else injury, especially a litre bike; not to mention damage to personal or public property. Roads are open to everyone at all times, so their use is restricted to prevent/minimise harm to others.
@DLedgerUK I have seen many many many instances of litre bikes hitting other vehicles in my time working in EMS and never once have I seen passengers from the car/truck/van injured from the bike plowing into them. What happens is the bike is destroyed and 9 out of ten times the rider is killed on impact. and your statement that Roads are restricted , this guy was base jumping off of one of those open and use restricted roads so my point still stands.
@Zenshu1 you're either extremely fortunate or you're not an EMS. And even if nobody in the other vehicle is (physically) injured, their property has been damaged.
And although he was at one point on the restricted road, the circumstances which would lead to danger for other people is ridiculously remote, and the act which he was arrested for (or at least for which the police officer drove off to pursue him for) caused no harm.
@DLedgerUK and all it takes is a slight change in wind speed and direction for his chute to turn back and cover that bridge along with who or whatever happens to be crossing at that time so it has the same potential for damage to public and private property as an out of control motorcycle.
NICE...LOVE IT. What a great base jump....Oh man if I only had the nerve. What a great reason to be arrested!!! Now that is living life to the fullest. He can now check that off his bucket list..
@ScyL0n Seriously ? The guy was about to jump out of a road bridge and I guess it's illegal to do that in some countries that's why the cop was 'trying' to stop him.
Awesome!

Awesome cop, relaxed as - almost like he is annoyed that he saw it and had to bother making an effort to stop him..

@ScyL0n Seriously ? The guy was about to jump out of a road bridge and I guess it's illegal to do that in some countries that's why the cop was 'trying' to stop him.
