  • I do not know if that actually works. Will try it wen I can. To try it's free anyway. If it does not work no harm done and if it does it does. But at the same time I see there is a lot of idiots thinking if it is not portable it is useless. Wen idiots maybe one only need the booster at home and not on the street. Maybe some only needs the booster wen surfing on the internet at home. Use your brain or shut up. By the way! Not the whole world talks English idiots. It's understandable anyway.

  • @MrSeekLoad lol, dont mind all the haters. They cant just see this was a funny video (but it actually worked..).. So I was at a friends house, and this guys comes by...he takes out his cellphone from the pocket and then he takes out this giant antenna, WTF!!! But, the worst thing is, it actually worked. He's an idiot lol.... Anyway, it was a TDMA phone, not gsm, dont know if it matters lmao :P

  • @pmcnano Good point. I don't think it matters considering how antennas are built. Usually the system of an antenna is the same no matter if it is radio,TV,phone or what ever.It is the receiver that does the job of sorting out the waves cough by the antenna. Then again different sort of antennas have different powers. Some are so week thy do not work on nothing except for what they re made for and some receivers need a very strong antenna for there type of wave. That is why it is so hard to know.

  • fuckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu shhiiit

  • @therealreyfamily - I think the word is English... secondly it is not the rest of the worlds job to speak your language....

  • @MrSinaVodka If its his language, then why are you speaking it?

  • TALK AMERICAN! :)

  • @therealreyfamily you are such a hillbilly

  • omg is that a bomb

  • asshole!!

  • amigo

  • Cool. I wouldn't be surprised if this actually works, even though the size of an FM antenna (which is what they attached) is tuned to receive at lower frequencies (87.5 MHz to 108.0 MHz) than cellphones (700 MHz and higher), since the FM antenna might still pick up lower-frequency harmonics of the cell tower signal.

  • @JohnMSawyer Well It did work, I know its a old video and everything, we just made it for fun, but lol It did work! We had like no signal and he had full signal!

    lol

  • @pmcnano Cool, thanks. I'll have to dig up an old FM antenna I've got somewhere and try it. T-Mobile reception inside my house is too weak to use, but outside it's fine, so maybe while inside I'll hook up the FM antenna to my cellphone.

  • @pmcnano I forgot to ask: how did he connect the FM antenna to the cellphone?

Also, my theory about the harmonics might be wrong, unless the cellphone can also see the lower harmonics that the FM antenna might be receiving, or unless the FM antenna can actually pick up the higher-frequency signals too.

  • @JohnMSawyer Well im not sure how did he connected it, he might just put the cables in there and thats all. Also consider that that cellphone was digital..new ones are gsm (not sure if it makes a change..)........

  • @pmcnano Did it look like he might have plugged the antenna into the phone's headphone jack? Or did he remove the cellphone's back, and solder or touch the antenna to something inside the phone?

GSM signals are digital too--you might be thinking of CDMA (also digital), or maybe it was an analog phone.

  • @JohnMSawyer Mh it was a cellphone with actual phisical anthena...he lost the anthena so he conncted the fm anthena.

Also, yes I *think* im talking about analog phones, the phones before gsm and not cdma.

  • @pmcnano Thanks. I've got the antenna cover off of my iPhone (original model) already, so at some point I'll try connecting an FM antenna to it. Will post results. I already tried touching a fork to the phone's antenna connection (I know--a fork?? I was eating at the time I got the idea), but that caused reception to drop a bit. So a fork doesn't make a good GSM cellphone antenna.
