@MrNapiszar They changed to kung fu panda to get more Asian people to play the game. There are more from Asia playing WoW than from USA what I've heard. And Asian players have won some sort of tournaments and stuff and that's why Blizzard makes "Asian expansion".

@ZarvalGaming Yes to some degree they did, you only had the pro pvpers joining for a start on your're server. Then you have 4 hour que times, 20 hour battle times in some instances, I think that showed some skill and commitment better than anything from any of their expansions. Your rank didn't just count from bgs, world pvp affected this rank too, did you ever actually play vanilla? I think you need to go back and take a look. Look at the comment by Xen1aaerman below too, that sums it all up.

Vanilla was great. Not everyone and their mother knew the game / their class like the back of their hand and epics were very scarce. Doing dungeons and the gear that dropped from them actually meant something. TBC had it right with 25man raids and epics obtainable through crafting / end heroic bosses and of course arena (methods outside of raiding at least). Cataclysm imo is just garbage, like people said before in and out of dungeons... nothing means shit now.
Everyone complains about being balanced but in my opinion it shouldnt be balanced. For instance a warrior should whoop a clothies Ass. But in the same way frost mages would be able to fight due to freezing. My point is blizzard should stop "balancing" classes and give each class a strength verse some classes and weakness vs others. That would also bring a teamwork feel back to pvp. Sorry for long post
@therealdefjamz I agree, i think its impossible to balence classes anyways... it should be like pokemon (hear me out) one class should have advantage over others, but if u win against a class that is suppose to be stronger than you, that is skill.

For all new cata players, 5k hp was alot back in vanilla and when he is multiple critting for 2k's... Thats equivalant to hitting several 50k's in a row.... So his damage was insane! And btw what is the song name?
I miss MS war during S3 Arena, b4 that unfortunately was a rogue in Vanilla. S3 MS was wicked fun, 4 v 1 and coming out on top in alot of instances was just an adrenaline rush. IMO wow pvp peaked out in S3-S4 and was pretty fun up untill that point.
Wow is watered down now it's all speed now it used to takes over a month to hit 60 now it takes 3 weeks to hit 80 with pvp armor and city attacks only happen if someone wants the achievement and whats the point we got a bronze drake sitting in stormwin what the point
I honestly didnt think that much of BC I thought it was nice I enjoyed the raids, like kara... as for PvP It went to shit..... PvE gear became more prodominant in PvP and it pissed the hell out of me.... I loved vannila pvp the title were awesome and earning them was a challenge especially maintaining back before cross server bg groups. Wrath killed wow for me..... Cata was alright at first now I hate it.

I started WoW a month before vanilla ended so I'm pretty much a TBC baby and it was my favorite expansion only because it was the expansion I really got to do end game pvp and raiding for the first time. Cata is amazing though and I love it.
tbh i quite like the pvp now, with the new resil system it changes alot, imagine if there wasnt the new resil system in cata, wouldnt be as challenging. I played in vanilla but didnt get to reach 60 in time, so i cant say anything about it but i prefer TBC pvp, even though it was unbalanced if you were good at your class with descent gear you could still beat any class, when now there are classes you dont even want to duel with because you knoww you will loose...and oh wotlk pvp was a joke.

Grinding took time and dedication, you maybe had a couple GM/HW who stuck the shit out. Now its roll a flavor of the day class.....roll OP team and win. Vanilla will always be revered for a reason and why this resilience BS won't be. I for one am waiting for the next mmo in a couple years. Maybe blizzard will find a way not to F up something the creators made so amazing.

But i guess all of that is not worth the "mass grind"...

I did play back then and i have no idea why you say the blizz servers lag me and my guild never had that problem and you must have had a really shit comp back then to have it lag on that neither me nor my guild usually never had server lag or comp lag. I was the top 10 warrior on Hellscream back in the day. I was High Warlord, damn best game I've ever played. I was so happy that I had the opportunity to play such a brilliant game. But as soon as TBC came out, I was done. The great journey had ended, and it was time to move onto bigger things =[. They make everything way too easy now.

Also what really made it for me was world pvp, BC killed that and it was my favourite part of the game. Tarren Mill v Southshore, Killsbrad foothills, STV in general, city raids, crossroads everything, it was some of the best times I have had gaming, don't try to tell me what was best, I know.

Vanilla had it's problems, but you don't even know what they were. You list massive negatives like dailies as something that "saved" the game.
Class balance, large scale spec non-viability in raids, those were the big ones... of course, the first has never been fixed, but the second got addressed in Wrath... yes Wrath.
Other then that, other changes have just commercialized and cheapened the game. Give me vanilla with across the board spec viability and I'm there.

Oh man I miss old WoW so much. I had small group of friends and we did the most random shit, explored the entire world to the smallest of corners looking for cool things to exploit xD.
I loved my mage so much and then BC hit and changed everything. I played right through BC and WotLK, finishing what was then 'end-game' but I retired and gave all my characters to a guildie. I hope there are other people out there who think of pre-BC wow and get all fuzzy inside like I do. I'll never forget it!:)
I joined in the middle of BC, i have a feeling i really missed something by not being there for Vanilla, if they had no resilliance back then i would love to go back in time and join earlier, with a ton of resil you can kill any player, i think of it as BS, raid gear sucks in pvp because no resil... sigh...

Assassination Poisons I guess are good for stabing 5k then leting you constant 3k doted poisons kill them

I honestly didnt think that much of BC I thought it was nice I enjoyed the raids, like kara... as for PvP It went to shit..... PvE gear became more prodominant in PvP and it pissed the hell out of me.... I loved vannila pvp the title were awesome and earning them was a challenge especially maintaining back before cross server bg groups. Wrath killed wow for me..... Cata was alright at first now I hate it.

I started WoW a month before vanilla ended so I'm pretty much a TBC baby and it was my favorite expansion only because it was the expansion I really got to do end game pvp and raiding for the first time. Cata is amazing though and I love it.

tbh i quite like the pvp now, with the new resil system it changes alot, imagine if there wasnt the new resil system in cata, wouldnt be as challenging. I played in vanilla but didnt get to reach 60 in time, so i cant say anything about it but i prefer TBC pvp, even though it was unbalanced if you were good at your class with descent gear you could still beat any class, when now there are classes you dont even want to duel with because you knoww you will loose...and oh wotlk pvp was a joke.

Grinding took time and dedication, you maybe had a couple GM/HW who stuck the shit out. Now its roll a flavor of the day class.....roll OP team and win. Vanilla will always be revered for a reason and why this resilience BS won't be. I for one am waiting for the next mmo in a couple years. Maybe blizzard will find a way not to F up something the creators made so amazing.

@uberabrahamsux I enjoy working for something, I and many other people like the feeling of accomplishment after a "mass grind", which you idea of a "mass grind" is anything that takes longer than dailies apparently... I do wish we had a Vanilla QQ, then my duels didnt last 10 seconds, raidng was actually fun and challenging, world pvp was good, you could easily tell who the scrubs were... But i guess all of that is not worth the "mass grind"...

PvP you could hop in AV in the morning leave when you got something to do and most likely the same battle was still going on when you came back and you could hop back in. "Having a life" is an excuse for people who couldnt think of a harder game than what WoW is now. WoW now is a game for a retarded chimp. You can get geared up one night after you hit 85...

@corryacosta I hated 40 man raids they lagged so bad on bliz crap servers back then and old shitty computers. 5 mans were horrible if you only had 2-4 hours a day to play you would get one blue "maybe" that would be good then maybe a epic every month with all the competition in raids. You probaly didn't play back then dude like all the other people that say they did. Only thing i liked was the unbalanced pvp and quickness of the battles do to no resil.

I did play back then and i have no idea why you say the blizz servers lag me and my guild never had that problem and you must have had a really shit comp back then to have it lag on that neither me nor my guild usually never had server lag or comp lag. So what if it actually took work to get your gear this whole gear up for raids in a week crap is boring.

@corryacosta I agree with you on the sole fact that Pre-TBC was the best of choice, simply because of the fact that we actually worked for our gear. I was the top 10 warrior on Hellscream back in the day. I was High Warlord, damn best game I've ever played. I was so happy that I had the opportunity to play such a brilliant game. But as soon as TBC came out, I was done. The great journey had ended, and it was time to move onto bigger things =[. They make everything way too easy now.

Also what really made it for me was world pvp, BC killed that and it was my favourite part of the game. Tarren Mill v Southshore, Killsbrad foothills, STV in general, city raids, crossroads everything, it was some of the best times I have had gaming, don't try to tell me what was best, I know.

Vanilla had it's problems, but you don't even know what they were. You list massive negatives like dailies as something that "saved" the game.
Class balance, large scale spec non-viability in raids, those were the big ones... of course, the first has never been fixed, but the second got addressed in Wrath... yes Wrath.
Other then that, other changes have just commercialized and cheapened the game. Give me vanilla with across the board spec viability and I'm there.

Oh man I miss old WoW so much. I had small group of friends and we did the most random shit, explored the entire world to the smallest of corners looking for cool things to exploit xD.
I loved my mage so much and then BC hit and changed everything. I played right through BC and WotLK, finishing what was then 'end-game' but I retired and gave all my characters to a guildie. I hope there are other people out there who think of pre-BC wow and get all fuzzy inside like I do. I'll never forget it!:)

I joined in the middle of BC, i have a feeling i really missed something by not being there for Vanilla, if they had no resilliance back then i would love to go back in time and join earlier, with a ton of resil you can kill any player, i think of it as BS, raid gear sucks in pvp because no resil... sigh...
