Saw a 2 hr. PBS special on the recent comeback tour. Lots of good footage from the early 80's thanks to Andy Summers always toting a camcorder early on. Sting seemed to spend a lot of time keeping the other two from killing each other. Forget all that British techno crap from the 80's,The Police and XTC are the two best English bands since the Kinks.
Can't realise why they do this crap. This aint jazz,,,, dont let the songs die into some boring spinoff of the originals. Energy and original feeling of the songs get liost:(

Stewart is one of the great drummers of all time. Sting came up with the killer songs, andy fleshed them out, but Stewart was the engine that made it go.
interesting thing about the date of this performance is that it was EXACTLY 30 years ago on that day that they recorded "Fallout" their debut single which was before Andy joined the band later in Aug. 77!
