It looks like a pepperoni sandwich that the monsters are sharing and eating.  Or maybe it's a salami or tomato slices sandwich.

Yeah, but then again, they both share the same stomache. So it's a moot point which one eats, so long as they both get the food inside them. Maybe the other just wants a taste.

As soon as the monsters split the sandwich in half, the monster on the left with the horns pointed downward looks like he has a bigger half than the monster with the horns pointed upward.
