I just bought the GoPro Hero HD recently. Have you played with your settings? What did you find most effective for daytime and night time riding? Which pixel rates were better for bikes like ours that have engine vibration and crappy roads like the ones here in Michigan? I shot some video so far but Id like to know what settings worked better than others.
@elitesoldier357 In this older video, it is using the suction cup and mounted just behind the key guard. It was in the way big time. My other videos show using one of the handlebar bolts as a mounting point. Check out the thread. There's a growing thread on ducait.ms in the StreetFighter forum.
@Thelemongrabber Yes, I ride year round. I split it up between the SF, the Hyper and the S2R1k. With proper fueling (aftermarket reflash/ecu) the bike is extremely comfortable for long rides. I think I have done a 9+ hour day on it... no complaints. You don't get cramped up like on a true sportbike, so no fatigue in your legs or arms and hands. Sorry I only have that crappy video. It was a borrowed GoPro.
@billg69gmc im considering buying a streetfighter but ive heard many times that the wind is pretty bad above 100 mph. how much does the windscreen help?
@DANNYHEADSHOT I did not like the windscreen. It did not function as well as I had hoped and it looked like crap on the bike... IMO. As far as wind being a factor, with a naked you are use to it. If you go faster than 85mph, the wind helps hold your upper body up as you lean forward to compensate. Faster you go, the more you lean forward.
@billg69gmc Everyone says it's a hard bike, not suitable for inexpert...How you feel with it??I like it so much and i would like to buy it next year...I never rided a real bike, just a 50cc motocross (with gears) for 2 years so i learnt how to shift them...Riding slowly (first times) i would be able to manage its power??
@metalgunners Since the SF is in the liter class of bikes, I would say it is wise to work your way up to this bike. The perfect starter is the Ninja250, then step up to a 600 and finally a 1000cc. It's better to wreck a Ninja which can be cheap to fix, than it is to trash an expensive bike. Good luck.
@billg69gmc 250-600-1000 would be the wisest way to ride...But i would like buying directly the best naked ever built...I would skip the ninja cause i already know shifting gears with 50cc and 125cc bikes...The only problem is the brutal power of the Streetfighter...I hope riding it slowly i will be able learning to manage it...Before buying it i'll probably have some rides with my dad's yamaha r1,so i'll see if i can administrate monsters with so many hps ^ ^
@billg69gmc Do you sometimes bring with you a passenger??How he feels with that little saddle??I'll always ride with my girlfriend and i'll probably buy the Ducati's comfort saddles for both...
@metalgunners I don't think the bike is "meant" for passengers. That will be the person being the passenger to decide. I guess like any superbike, it will do it. It is just a question of comfort over how long the passenger can sit there.
What the hell is the that rattling? At first, I fell in love with this bike, until I seen this video. If that's the clutch rattling like that, you shoud take the bike back to the dealer and ask for you're money back.... seriously!
@jameshardsteel Not sure if it is the clutch rattling you are hearing or not, but if its a dry clutch then that goes with the territory. U are used to the wet clutches. Going to the dealer to complain about that would make you look very dumb.
@Jonoku The big difference would be it is a 90 degree twin with gobs of torque from the bottom to the top of the revs. Very linear. The I-4's tend to like to be in the revs, the Ducati SF likes it anywhere from 3k-10k revs. You either like how twins make power or you like I-4's, as long as you are on two wheels, that's what REALLY matters!
Hi,I also have a Streetfighter here in the UK.Problem is we've got the worst winter since the formation of Planet Earth to contend with !!
What type of windshield is it ?and do you have any photos of it from various angles please as I'll need a little protection should the Sun ever return here ??
@Thelemongrabber The bike can be ridden smoothly at low speeds, or with aggression which is where the motor's torque will remind you that you have a 1098 between your thighs :)
@bwu3 Those containers hold mocha latee's that the rider can consume at will. There is a special button on the right handlebar control that releases the fluid to a hermetically sealed evacuation chamber that is pressurized by a pump powered by the back wheel. It is then routed through a system of lines that run near the exhaust header to heat and sterilize the mixture and then shot trough a nozzle that is aimed at the riders intake port (mouth).
i like your vid. i own a streetfighter myself. only sad part is all those stops and traffic lights. this bike needs wide open roads with a lot of twists :D
The idiot at 306 doesnt know what a center turn lane is :(

@sballetz Devo stare attento in città. Persone negli Stati Uniti non rispettano la moto, come fanno in Europa!

How did you mount the camera on the tank? Ive been looking into getting a Contour or GoPro HD to mount on my 2010 Ducati 848.

@Jonoku I ditched the windshield, I just thought it looked wrong and it did not redirect much air to be effective.

What's the difference between a ducati and any other gsxr, r6/1, zx? Go watch riding videos of each, then come back to this one.

awesome bike what are those fluid containers suppose to do on the handle bars?
bwu3 1 year ago
@bwu3 The brakes and clutch are hydraulically activated. Those containers are the "pee cups" that hold the fluid for each.

Note:You need an open face helmet for this.
