Who really gives a FUCK what a bunch of guys in wigs with no electricity who owned slaves and who tried to wipe out the Indians wrote or said or thought ?
Constitutionalists are no different than religious fundamentalists ala the taliban or the westboro wackos.
@sharkattacksteve anyone can oversimplify anything to make it sound ridiculous, i.e. music is just a bunch of people beating on drums and blowing hunks of metal. the constitution was written before westward expansion when the indians were nearly wiped out so you cant say its writers tried to wipe out the indians. also the constitution, unlike any religious text, was written specifically to limit the power of government, NOT as a personal way to lead your life. but i do understand your viewpoint.
So all you Luddite constitutionalists think that it's remotely practical to think 300 million Americans are going to be running around like Pirates with bags of doubloons around their necks ? There isn't remotely enough gold or silver in the world for that dumbshits.
So we're all suppose to live our lives strictly according to a document that was written over 200 years ago without deviation ? I bet most of you take the Bible literally also
@sharkattacksteve Your level of idiocy is beyond description! The ancient Egyptian used to say that silence is one of the best expression of wisdom; you obviously do not possess that quality since you are talking about a subject you clearly do not understand. The quantity of Gold is marginal for the proper functioning of the Gold standard; what is important is the " price" of goods and service between the market participants. With a sound money standard ( gold AND silver), price will be STABLE
@AFRIKTODAY I wasn't asking for a lecture on economics douchebag, Paul and the constitutionalists claim that paper money is unconstitutional so what are they planning on using ? Sea shells ?
LoL what a pretentious self important jack-ass you are.
@sharkattacksteve You are an idiot indeed! The constitution clearly states that only gold and silver may be used as money and the sole role of the government is to regulate its value ( maintain its value). The state shall not issue bills of credit ( paper money)! Until 1931, the US was under a gold standard and the " paper dollar" was merely a receipt for the Gold itself. With the creation of a central bank in 1913, the government debased the currency leading to our current economic woes.
@sharkattacksteve Look, it is not my fault if you are a pathetic ignorant who tries to debate things he does not understand at all. What do you know about monetary theory? Nothing of course! So please shut the fuck up and read a few books on these topics before trying to denounce Ron Pauls supporters. Unlike you, they have done their homework and they can detail a few reasons why gas price has spiked from $1.5 5 years ago, to almost $4 now! It is all about the value of the money! So, read a book
@AFRIKTODAY LOL it's not my fault you don't understand that I'm asking what are we going to use for currency once Paul and the strict Constitutionalists have banned paper paper money which they have stated as their intent ...moron.
@sharkattacksteve Thus enabling consumers and producers to engage in sound economic calculation. Therefore, what is really important for a stable monetary system is for society to maintain the purchasing power of the money. Goods and service can fluctuate with the technological development, but money on itself need to be increased as much. Unlike our current manipulated monetary system, people would be able to save and invest for their future without being worried about currency depreciation!
@sharkattacksteve The revolutionary war ignited by a corrupt banking system imposed on the colonies by a central bank in England, which collapsed the colonial economy instantly (Franklin & Jefferson's words)....sound familiar?? 1oz of gold, roughly the size of a quarter, is worth over $1600 right now. Would you need a bag to carry your wealth, probably not! Gold standard is the amount of bills throughout the nation, equal to the amount of gold in a government reserve! True money with no debt!
Importantly, the constitution states the word COIN which is meant to represent only a commodity, or metal based, currency. 'Paper money' was not even considered as any form of 'money' itself but only as BILLS OF CREDIT which represented something else of tangible value, such as gold, silver, or some other asset. Our DOLLAR has no real TANGIBLE value of any sort and is purposely being inflated and devalued And if we continue with the other Dem and Repube clowns it will be debased completely
O'Reily is nothing but a dullard and a brainless talking hesd. The other dude certainly is also confused on the constitution and is nothing more than another statist steeped in the art of delusion and confusion. The constitution does not and never meant to give the federal government a MONOPOLY on money CREATION and gold and silver coins of many foreign countries where considered and used as legal tender in the USA.

Ron Paul is "The Doctor", lol, he has a magic screwdriver too,but you Americans will never elect him. Your time is pretty much done. As much as I'd love my country to be the next superpower, there is too much uncertainty in the region with Pakistan China and Afghanistan. Same goes for China. Europe has an incestuous relationship with the US and with its sovereign debt crisis, it will be weak for many years to come. Look to Russia and Brazil. They are going to rule the world this century.
As Americans we must stand against the fascist black shirted police that have oppressed us in the name of their masters. They are above the law. they must be removed. Point at police. Remove the violent immoral Gestopo. Until we do we as a movement have achieved nothing.

I love Ron and support the gold standard, but if that's all that the constitution EXACTLY says, then, as a strict constitutionalist as he says he is, you couldn't say that not being on the gold standard is unconstitutional. It would be up to the judicial branch to decide if it is or isn't.
Funny how this arrogant liar for hire can call others loons, when he himself is an absolute ignoramus. Ron Paul taught me to trust the Constitution and not my own preconceived notions. It really is that simple. As a nation we would be truly United and living in harmony if our politicians strictly followed the Constitution. democrat and Republican labels would become meaningless.
You work your ass off every day to earn a piece of paper that means nothing. What is it? How does it have value? It's just a sheet of paper that has nothing behind it.
@1sniper1wolf1 Money is production and production needs to be stored by something valuable to grow wealth. That something valuable is gold or silver. I am happy to convert my paper money into gold before we will be wiping our ass with it very soon.
@nikolayzou A gold/silver standard isn't Paul's ideal system. It's true that the Constitution instructs that gold and silver are to be the government's money, but the Constitution does not prohibit private mintage. It was common up until the 1860's when the government outlawed the practice to shore up its money monopoly.
Paul advocates competing currencies. Let the market decide. I suspect that gold, silver, and to a lesser extent copper would be the preferred monies, but let people decide.
@joepeeler34 I think opening up the market for competing currencies is a great idea. It wouldn't take too long before people realise that currencies based on gold are immune to inflation and paper currencies are good for wiping your ass with. Let the people decide, great idea.
O'Reilly is a smart guy but so misguided, or too much on the inside of the Kabal. And I don't watch him anymore. He is a nobody. And Nickiolson? Wonderful to listen to him!
