Resident Evil 4 destroys this game in its length, boss fights, enemies, difficulty, story line, characters and just general epicness. I've completed RE4 11 times and it still feels fresh every time and a challenge, where as this is just boring and you can get infinite weapons so easily where as RE4 you have to save up a million ptas. Try fighting Krauser on professional on RE4 without a rocket launcher. IT'S SO HARD!
True, i believe RE5 is not the same as the rest of the RE series, it really wasnt as scary as the rest and too easy, especially since the feel of the game wasnt at all that eerie feel i felt in the past. The music itself doesnt set the mood of an RE game, and the lack of puzzle solving and suspense just wasnt there. A fun shooting game, but not what i was hoping for. And the fact that zombies or whatever they are now can hold guns truly sums up why this isnt a true RE game...
Resident Evil 2, REmake and Resident Evil 4 are by far the best in the series. Fact. Honourable mention for Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. Code Veronica, chronicles, operation, revelations etc are just utter shit. Have never played 5 but from everything I've read and seen, it doesn't make me want to.

That was one of the best parts from RE4 was running around trying to get away from the giants and then when they got a hold of you and started squeezing the life from Leon was great!!! WTF??? Fail RE5. However, RE4's producer is doing 6, so lets all pray they listened to all the complaints.
@chride87 you can easily get both. re6 will be $60 when it comes out but you can usually find re5 used for $15. If your really strapped for cash though just wait for six. it looks very promising

This was good, but not great. It was just like 4, but without the scary vibe and uninteresting story. Re4 was scary, claustrophobic, and it made you interested in where u we're going next. They completely discarded scary mansions or any spooky environments with heart pounding results. This was good, but not a game i'll play again. Re4 is repayable awesomeness. Good thing Re6 is coming back from its re4 roots with some good innovations.

@aperson30 i just visited a local store yesterday to pick up this game since it was only 19 dollars as a greatest hit, but then i found out its only co-op online, no split screen.... zombie multiplayers have got to be co-op offline that the best thing about em otherwise it looks really cool

For the vie: the only thing I don't like about this game is the unlimited ammo. I like the change to action, though. But they've had their fun and now its time to go back to surv. horror. Oh and CAPCOM's probably gonna treat ORC as the remakes of 2 and 3.
I liked RE5, but not loved it. Make RE6 with zombies and more survival horror! Too many action games nowadays. It gets a little numbing after awhile IMO.

This is not a RE game in my opinion.
Resident Evil is and should be survival horror- I'm not saying RE 5 wasn't good but it disappointed me.

they shouldn't have made it where you have a partner at all it might have actually been somewhat scary that way this game is such a disappointment the only thing that it has going for it is that it is the best looking game in the series but the best games in the series are the first 4 hopefully if they decide to make a 6 hopefully it will be a geat game as well a great looking game because looks aren't everything even in this industry

your guys job is video games, normal people are going to be noobs and usually waste ammo and first aid etc. Most games normal difficulty caters to noobs or casual.

I bought RE5 game and Super Street Fighter 4 at Best Buy with my $50 Gift Card and still have $6.47 left for PC HDMI Wire,PS3 HDMI Wire,Resident 4 HD Remake,Soul Calibur 5,Tekken Tag Tournament 2,Ninja Gaiden 3 and Metal Gear Solid Rising.I think it was a wise choice for me to take Resident Evil 5 and Super Street Fighter 4 over ICO and Shadow of Colosseus HD Remake that was $39.99 because I saved one cent since the two games each cost $19.99 .The total of the two is $39.98 plus tax $ 3.55 !!!

For the vie: the only thing I don't like about this game is the unlimited ammo. I like the change to action, though. But they've had their fun and now its time to go back to surv. horror. Oh and CAPCOM's probably gonna treat ORC as the remakes of 2 and 3.

I liked RE5, but not loved it. Make RE6 with zombies and more survival horror! Too many action games nowadays. It gets a little numbing after awhile IMO.

This review is just proof that if you want a perfectly good reason not to trust the gaming press then look no further than RE5. Is it a competent co-op game? Sure it is. But a competent co-op game deserves about a 7.5 not a 9 or 9.5 you sold out money mongering fucks.
